Brian walked across the stage; nervous. He wasn't sure what he was nervous about, he always knew that he wanted to do this, it was his dream. The screaming from the fans died down from the last performance, it was good; a man who sang a wicked cover of Soft Cell's Tainted Love. Brian reran the lyrics to his cover through his head, he's known them since the song first came out but he wanted to make sure that he didn't mess up; this could set up his future. He's wanted to be a famous Rock God; his Christian-faithed parents told him there was no way they would let their child be a blasphemy to their name; he wanted to prove to the world that he could be whoever he wanted and he didn't need anyone's approval: other than a mass set of fans. Brian smiled as he imagined himself on stage rocking out the lyrics to Beautiful People as the people sang and cheered along. The MC called out his name on the microphone and he could feel chunks of nothing bile up through his throat, he swallowed the fear and stumbled across stage and stared out into the crowd; he always thought only a hundred people would show up but there seemed to be 500 people there. He could taste the bile again as he reached the microphone but he swallowed it for the second time and stared into the mass, he started to sing but nothing came out. The mass started booing and it reminded him of hungry vultures waiting for their dinner. He could see the lyrics zoom through his head ready to be sung but the pressure of his entire future scared his voice away; as the crowd grew impatient pastors of the church down the road crashed the party by handing out miniature bibles and it was then that somebody decided to protest by throwing at Brian. Seeing the bible Brian remembered why he was there and his fears disappeared as images of his parents flashed through his head, the crowd died down as the beginning lyrics came through the microphone.

"And I don't want ya and I don't need ya."

The girls stared at him as his gruff sexy voice came out and sang those words. The men seethed and rocked to his great ambiance and wonderful talent. Even without background music Brian was able to rock the entire stage.
