Oh, Roxas. It's not that you don't want to ruin your friendship.
You love Olette, you love her so much. So why do you insist that it would be weird; that Hayner would get jealous; that it would ruin your friendship? Why do you lie so much? It wouldn't be weird, you know that because Olette loves you so much as well – you know that too. And Hayner wouldn't get jealous! He may have had a crush on her in grade six but he has Naminé now. Did you forget? How would it ruin your friendship? How, pray tell, because as far as I can see, you both love each other too much already for this thing you have going on to be called "friendship".
I remember when you used to deny it and your face would go all red like a balloon and you'd whip round and say, spluttering, "No! No, I don't like Olette?! Why would you even say that?" And I'd just laugh while you fumed. And even with how fake and embarrassed you sounded when you said it, I kept on trying to force myself to believe that you meant it. But, deep down, somewhere in that charred rock in my chest, I knew... I knew you didn't mean it.
Because, you – yes you, Roxas – love her!
Honestly and truly you do!
So, what's all this rubbish about ruining your friendship? You wouldn't lose one friend over it, would you? Think about it.
