"Penny for your thoughts" Selina nearly jumped in surprise at the raspy voice. Her shoulders slumped a bit, but it wasn't his raspy voice.

"Hi birdboy" she greeted lightly, never taking her eyes away from the rooftop across from them.

"Birdboy? I haven't heard that one in a while." Batman commented, copying the light tone, which sounded odd with the growl. "What are you looking at? That roof can't be that interesting."

Selina's lips quirked at the edges. "You don't remember that roof? Well," she paused for a moment in contemplation "You were young"

The Dark Knight raised a brow under the cowl.

"That roof is where it all started." Memories from years before flashed across her mind's eye. "It seems like a lifetime ago. I was wearing purple leather, his ears were longer, and you were full of bad puns." Catwoman tossed him a side-glance. "You still are full of them"

"Oh shush, you love it" he teased, dropping the rasp for a moment. Those times were ones he cherished.

Selina threw her head back and laughed. He was right. As corny as they were, she always loved those puns. When her laughs finally died down, she looked at the former Boy Wonder, green eyes glittering with sadness.

"I miss him so much!" a dam of emotions burst, and she began to cry. "Why did he have to die?" she sobbed.

Gently, he hugged the crying woman to him. "I don't know, Selina. I just don't know"
