New Girl

Chapter 1

Emma Swan walked down the hallway in her new college in New York. Everyone were walking with loads of books and trying to find their classrooms, just like her. Suddenly, someone bumped into her and all her books got out from her grip.

"Hey! Watch it!" She said angry, but all the anger boiled away when she saw his face. His stormy blue eyes were enchanting and his strong jawline were to die for.

"Sorry, lass." He said and looked her in the eyes.. "First day?"

"Uhm, yeah. That obvious?" Emma asked nervous and got down to pick up her books. He joined her and smiled.

"Pretty much. You know where to go?" He asked and gave her the last books. She sighed and stood up straight.

"No. I have French in room 12 and I really don't where I am." Emma said and looked at her class schedule.

"I can show you. I have math in the next room." He said and they started walking.

"I'm Killian Jones, by the way." He said and put out his hand, still walking.

"Emma Swan." She said and took his hand while balancing the books on her own. After letting go of her hand, he offered to take some of her books which she gladly said yes to. The rest of the way they walked in silence, until they reached the rooms.

"I'll guess I'll see you around, Swan." Killian said, handing her the books back.

"Thanks for the help." Emma said and smiled before walking into the classroom.

The whole French class, Emma couldn't think about anything else then the handsome Killian Jones. He was perfect in every way and his accent was just beautiful.

"Hey, new girl! I'm Ruby. This is Mary Margaret and Belle." A black haired girl beside her whispered and pointed to two other girls that sat beside her.

"Hey, I'm Emma." She whispered back and smiled.

"You want to hang with us after school?" Ruby whispered and blew a bubble of her gum.

"Sure!" Emma whispered and smiled. Suddenly, the teacher's voice rang out in the room.

"Miss Swan and Miss Red! Detention for an hour after school!" The teacher yelled and turned to the blackboard again. Emma was about to protest, but saw that it wouldn't make a difference. Detention on her first day! That was a new low for her,

The school day past by slowly and now she had to spend an hour detention before she could go home. Ruby sat by the desk beside her and was looking at her phone while Emma herself was browsing through one of her textbooks when she heard a familiar voice.

"Lovely to see you again, Mrs. Azari! Looking good as usual." Emma looked up and saw Killian Jones walk into the classroom with his charming smile on.

"Mr. Jones. Why am I not surprised? You should really consider acting more like your brother." Mrs. Azari said and rolled her eyes at him.

"But we all now, you love me more than Liam." He said over his shoulder before his eyes landed at Emma. She quickly cast a glance at Ruby who stared at Killian with stars in her eyes.

"Swan, detention on your first day?" Killian asked and raised his eyebrow with a smirk. Ruby looked both shocked and surprised at Emma before she continued staring at Killian.

"I guess so." Emma said and looked down on her book again. He sat down on the chair in front of her desk.

"What are you in for, love?" He asked and leaned on his hand. She sighed and closed the book. She wouldn't get to read anything with him here anyway.

"Talking in class, and you?" She asked, copying the way he sat. He smirked and leaned back on the chair.

"Well, let's just say that the teachers aren't happy." Emma rolled her eyes at him and stood up, walking to the teacher to excuse herself to go and get some water from the drinking fountain out in the hall.

"I guess, you are one of those perfect school girls with the perfect family, Swan." Killian had followed her and was leaning against the wall beside her.

"And I guess you are the golden child in your family." Emma said and pulled her blond hair out of the way so she could drink. Killian let out a short laugh and shaked his head.

"No, that's my brother Liam. He's a senior at this college and the best man here." He said with pride and jealousy in his voice. She almost spit the water out from her mouth and looked at him.

"Wait! Liam Jones is your brother?" Emma said surprised. How could she have missed that?

"What, you know him?" Killian asked and raised his eyebrow again. Emma walked past him, shocked and sad at the same time. Inside the classroom, the teacher decided that they could not speak which Emma was grateful for.

After a long hour, they were free to go and Emma rushed out of there, hoping that Killian wouldn't stop her, but it was wishful thinking.

"Swan!" He called and caught up to her. Emma did her best to ignore him, but it didn't work so well, so she hurried instead to her locker. Killian still didn't walk away, but instead leaned on the locker beside her.

"Why are you suddenly ignoring me? Has it something to do with my brother?" He asked and crossed his arms. Emma shaked her head and put her books inside the locker.

"It's not important." She said, trying not to look him in the eyes.

"Swan, what is it?" Killian asked taking her hands, forcing her to look into his eyes, but she just pulled out of his grip and slammed her locker closed.

"Look! We are not friends! You don't know anything about me and you have no right to! You leave me alone and I leave you alone! Understood?" She said and waited for his answer, but he was just staring at her. She sighed and walked away.

Emma remembered Liam perfectly. He was her first true love, but like all great things; it has to come to an end. Liam knew everything about her past and swore never to tell anyone, but he told everything to the new hot girl that crossed his path. He cheated on her and they had the biggest fight in Emma's life.

She practically ran to her dorm and walked in with tears in her eyes. The single bed in the room was decorated with her white baby blanket that she had had since she was a little baby. She lay down in the bed and held around the blanket like her life depended on it, crying.
