#1 Pride
Title: The Prideful and Pompous Percy Jackson (This Percy is pretty OOC, so just a warning.)
"My ego is just fine, thank you very much."
"Percy, you cried when someone laughed at you for trying to lift a truck."
"Well, I had stubbed my toe on the tire."
"Dude, you can't lift a car. Deal with it. No need to be so prideful."
Percy sighed, jumping flamboyantly onto Piper's bunk. She had invited her boyfriend over for a friendly "chat", but he just ended up raving about how cool he was compared to all the "mundanes that inherit this cesspool of hormones." (A/N Gosh, he is so OOC. I apologize Percy lovers.)
Piper had tried to argue that technically, his body was overrun with hormones as well. But he would have no such nonsense, as he was an exception in the hormone department.
"I'm not prideful, just…. Confident." Percy said, burrowing his face in Piper's pillow.
"Is there a difference?" Piper said, cocking an eyebrow.
"OF COURSE THERE IS A DIFFRENCE SNUGGLEBUNNY," Percy shouted, rising from the pillow.
"No, there isn't rea – wait, did you just say Snugglebunny? Seriously?" Piper asked, a toothy grin stretching across her face.
"Yes, I said Snugglebunny." Percy said, raising his jaw.
"Okay, I'm just going to let that do for now. But just because you went on five quests, been in two major prophecies, and saved the world twice doesn't mean… Okay, maybe that does mean that you can have an ego. That doesn't mean you have to wear your ego on your sleeve, Perc." Piper finished, a satisfactory look on her face.
Percy pulled the standing Piper into her bunk with him, looking her in the eyes. "It's called wearing your heart on your sleeve, and I'm not even sure if that can be used in this situation." He said seriously, nodding ever-so-slightly.
"Well, maybe I'm rewriting it." Piper said, leaning closer to Percy.
"See, that's what I like about you. You chose to rewrite history. And you actually can," Percy said, leaning closer.
Piper didn't respond, but instead kissed him with flair and passion.
And Percy did the same.
