"What time is it?" Joven asked as they finished shooting a Game Bang.

"It's going on ten, Jovie. Why are you asking?" Mari asked as she sat down at her normal desk for the normal day.

"I… have to go… out for a commitment, but… I'll be back in a while so… Don't worry," Joven replied; starting for the door as he pulled on his jacket and scarf.

"What is that commitment of yours?" Lasercorn asked from his desk.

Joven stopped mid-stride. He fixed his scarf and hair before he spoke still facing the door. His voice was quick and jittery.

"I'm meeting a friend of mine that I met at Vid Con," Joven replied as he exited, "She might return with me, but I don't know."

As he reached the exit door, a voice stopped him and a hand landed on his shoulder.

"Who's that girl you're meeting with? Are you in love?" the voice asked him from behind.

He tried to turn to face the voice, but his eyes only could see the tips of the person's hands on his shoulders. When he tried to pull away and walk through the door, the mysterious person stopped him with gripped fingers on his shoulders.

"Who are you?" Joven asked nervously; feeling the hands feel his Mohawk hair as he spoke.

"You know who I am. You have faced me once before, but survived. I have taken your characters, but let them regenerate. You have laughed in my face and I will now laugh in yours," the voice replied in a silky, mysteriously creepy voice that did not belong to any of his friends.

He felt cold shivers run down his body; icy cold hands stroked him. Joven took a breath before feeling his ready hands and fingers go numb with the rest of his body joining in a few seconds.

"Who are you?" Joven asked; realizing his voice was slowly going hoarse as he spoke.

"You know me, Joshua. I have always kept a close eye on you and your friends. You have never forfeited to me and I have never forfeited to you. I have allowed you to continue and you allowed me to inch closer day by day to you; so I might take you as mine," the voice replied.

As the voice creepily hissed in his ears, Joven saw the hands on his shoulders disappear and appear on his hips- small ones at that. He tried to move, but he could not. He heard in his ears children laughing, the ocean roaring loud and bold, and the chorus of clown beeping their clown noses in ominous unison.

"You will not get me," Joven felt himself whispering; telling to speak, but failing.

"Oh, but I will get you," the voice hissed back before disappearing with the cold hands leaving his sides.

Darkness hit him strong within seconds. The next time he opened his particularly blind eyes, he saw his friends' faces above his with their voices sweet and beautiful.

"Joven," Mari spoke with tears at the edges of his eyes, "I thought you died. You were frozen cold and not movable when we saw you lying on the main room's floor with closed eyes and closed lips."

Joven opened his mouth and spoke slowly. He felt his voice returning from the whisper to its normal state.

"I thought I did too," he replied; feeling his body return from its cold, death-like position, "I was almost taken."

He saw Lasercorn smiling in a way he never was able to before right now. It was gentle like a puppy and kind unlike the Lasercorn he knew.

"What happened?" Lasercorn asked curiously; his hands taking Joven's right hand gently.

"Darkness and I had a face-off with Death himself," Joven replied.

"Do you survive almost dying randomly?" Sohinki asked; taking Joven's other hand with a smile on his face.

Joven thought for a second and spoke thoughtfully.

"I survive almost dying randomly by having the will and experience to fight Death's bony fingered grip and slippery voiced touch," Joven replied.

When he stopped to compose his flushed face, a voice spoke.

"Forgetting something?" she asked from the door.

He turned his head and smiled while nodding. It was her!

"Stacy!" he laughed, "It's you!"

"Who the heck-," Mari began, but Stacy butted in.

"Hey. I'm Stacy, Jovie's friend," she greeted sweetly, "Nice to meet you guys for the first time."

She wore a Smosh Smash shirt, a skirt, a Smosh jacket, and black sneakers. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail and her smile seemed too cheery to actually be genuine. Her eyes were oceanic blue.

"Only I'm allowed to call Joven that," Mari sneered as Stacy kissed Joven on the cheek.

"Girls, there's enough of me to go around," Joven said; bringing in Mari for a cheek kiss.

Lasercorn and Sohinki watched this happen; smiling and waiting until a cat-fight over their friend to break out.

"Move over Mari," Stacy taunted, "Stacy is here now."

"Oh, really because you met him at Vid Con that you can just take all of him for your stupid self. I know him longer and done more with me," Mari sneered back.

"If you ladies are going to fight for him, don't fight on him," Lasercorn said with his sinister smile returning to his sly face.

"Shut up!" Stacy and Mari spat at the same time at Lasercorn.

The two women turned to face each other and sneered at each other. Mari threw the first punch.

"You only like Jovie because he's a Youtuber!" Mari sneered while punching Stacy.

"You're dating Peter!" Stacy replied; sending a punch back boldly.

Joven pushed himself away from the brawling Asian women.

"Damn. Mari can fight," the words exited Joven's mouth softly.

Mari landed a kick on Stacy in the stomach.

"I thought you were a dancer!" Stacy scowled as she sent Mari back onto the ground.

Mari landed on the floor and knelt up and pulled Stacy down.

"I am a dancer, but also," she replied, "I am a girl! A girl who can fight and play video games!"

Stacy stood up and reached her arm out as she stood.

"I'm allowing you to pull me down; so you can stand," Stacy spoke with a smile returning to her flushed face.

Mari took Stacy's manicured hands, but didn't pull down her. Instead, she hugged her with a smile returning too.

"Thank you," Mari said, "Want to go out for shopping?"

"Nah. Want to play Smash with the guys?" Stacy replied.

"That's more like it!" Mari laughed, "You guys in for Smash with us?"

"Yeah, but… how do you know each other?" Joven replied curiously with a smile and a hug to them both.

"All Asians know each other," Stacy and Mari said in unison.
