Lament For Smeagol
There was once a hobbit, funny and sweet,
Yet victim was he to deceit,
Corrupted by evil, deep and dark,
Evil that would leave its mark,
Evil in the form of a ring,
Oh, such a harmless little thing!
Alas, that is was Smeagol thought,
He was so easily by it caught,
Such destruction did the ring create,
It summoned Gollum so berate,
Oh, what a pitiful sight to see,
Smeagol fighting to be free,
But alas, poor soul, he couldn't win,
The looming evil sucked him in,
Lost to evil's raging war,
That innocent hobbit is no more.
