Another Kipper rewrite, this time it's the episode "The Hiccups" Enjoy and comment.
One hot summer day, Kipper the Dog was drinking orange pop in his paddling pool when...
"Hiccup!"
"Oh no! I've got the hiccups!"
When Kipper went back inside, the telephone rang. It was Pig.
"Hello Kipper! Would you like to come to the park and feed the ducks with me and Arnold?"
"I would love..."
"Hiccup!"
"... too. But I've got the hiccups! And I can't...
"Hiccup!"
"...get rid of them."
"Why not try putting one finger in each ear while standing on one leg?" suggested Pig. "It always works for me and Arnold."
"I'll try." said Kipper. "Bye-bye!"
So Kipper did exactly as Pig suggested.
"Hiccup!"
But it didn't work.
"Oh dear!' said Kipper. "Will my hiccups ever go away?"
"Hiccup!"
Later, Kipper was reading a health book to try to find a way to get rid of the hiccups.
The book explained that the most common way to cure the hiccups was to stand backwards and sing a song.
"That seems interesting. Let me try."
So Kipper sang a song about his hiccups while standing backwards.
"I've got the hiccups.
Hiccups, please go away.
I don't want to have them.
Forever!"
"That seems better!" exclaimed Kipper, thinking that his hiccups were gone.
So he went back to his paddling pool with another glass of orange pop.
Soon, his friend Jake came by.
"Lovely day, isn't it Kipper!"
"Why, yes it is!"
"Hiccup!"
"I think you have the hiccups Kipper!" said Jake.
"Oh dear, my hiccups have come back!"
"Let me give you a bear-hug! That always cures the hiccups for me."
So Jake gave Kipper a nice, warm bear-hug.
"Hiccup!"
"I don't think they'll ever go away!"
"That is so strange! A bear-hug always works for me!"
"Maybe because you're not a bear." said Kipper. "But..."
"Hiccup!"
"... I wonder if Tiger knows how to cure the hiccups!"
So Kipper telephoned Tiger.
"Hello Kipper!"
"Hello Tiger. I have the hiccups!"
"Have you tried counting to 100?"
"Yes."
"Have you tried standing on your head?"
"Yes."
"Have you tried drinking sweetened water?"
"No."
"Why not give it a try. It always works for me."
So Kipper placed some sweetener into some water and drank it.
"Hiccup!"
But the sweetened water didn't work!
Just then, there was a knock on the door. Kipper went to answer it.
"Surprise!" cried all of Kipper's friends.
And this time, it worked! Kipper's hiccups were gone!
Everyone laughed and fell to the floor!
