Well I'm finally a Junior at Forks High. It stinks that Jake, my boyfriend, goes to school on the La Push reservation cause then I would be able to see him all the time.
We spent all summer together in his garage working on his car. Then one day he finally got up the nerve to ask me out. I already knew that he liked me and to be honest I really liked him to so I said yes. He was ecstatic. Now he is my sun in this rainy town of Forks, Washington.
As I walk to lunch and sit with my friends at our usual table I hear them talking about some new kids in town and their last names were Cullen and Hale.
Right at that moment five teenagers gracefully walk into the lunchroom and go to an empty table all the way on the other side of the cafeteria, away from everyone.
I find that they are all extraordinarily beautiful. There are two girls and three boys. One of the girls is short and pixie-like, with short black hair spiking out in every direction. The other looks as if she could be a runway model; she is tall and has long blonde hair with big curls. I bet every girls self-esteem in this room just dropped.
One of the three boys looks like a serious weight lifter and he looks like he could pick up a semi-truck, he has short dark hair. Another of the three has a medium build and he has blonde hair and he looks like he is in pain. The last of the three has the smallest build and looks clearly more boyish; he has bronze colored hair that has a messy look to it. The all look the same but in a way also different.
I look at my new schedule to see what class I had next, biology. My mind kept wondering back to the new kids. I wonder what their names are.
I was the last one to class and the only open seat was next to one of the Cullen's. Great! Now I can see what each of his families names are. I take a seat next to him and introduce myself.
"Hi, my name is Bella Swan. What's your name?"
He didn't immediately answer back instead he glared at me with coal black eyes. Then he snapped out of it.
"I'm Edward Cullen. It's nice to meet you but we can't be friends." He answered sounding angered. I was about to ask what his problem was when the teacher came in introducing himself but I couldn't pay attention because I noticed Edward was sitting on the edge of his chair with his hands clenched to the edge of the table. What was his deal?! We can't be friends?! What the heck was that suppose to mean?! Class went by slowly and then as soon as the bell rang Edward quickly left.
When I got home I called Jake and told him about the new kids.
"Yea, there are these new kids at school. Their last names are Cullen and-" he cut me off.
"Did you say Cullen? I think I've heard that name before. Can you come over?" He asked.
"Yea, see you soon. I love you. Bye."
"I love you too. Bye." And we hung up.
