The Witching Hour
Wicked Queen Tells The Truth
Story By Shannon Wright and Kathy Schmeier
Yes, you thought she was dead, but we have the whole story on this evil queeny. Seems she's only part of a big fiasco and she's the victim, or so she claims. Here's the whole truth, straight from the hag's mouth.
Our own Kathy Schmeier went in to get the facts after hearing of an extremely over-told urban legend that the Wicked Queen was still alive. Along with Shannon Wright, she began the search in fairytale land questioning Cinderella's villains (the two ugly stepsisters and the stepmother) who seem to be in a few "glass slipper" troubles; ending with the Sleeping Beauty witch who is having some "gardening" troubles. None of them had seen the Queen since her own death, but they all had heard of the legend. We returned to the death scene and stumbled upon Snow White; she seemed to be taking seven dwarves on a little rendevous into the woods. She too had not seen the queen, and did not seem willing to help as she so clearly stated (and we quote), "What do you want to go and find her for? She's an ugly old has-been who had what's coming to her!" We asked Mrs. White where her handsome Prince was, but she refused to say, mumbling something about "marriage troubles".
Finally, at the end of a long and tiring week, we caught up with the Sea Witch from the Little Mermaid (she had been tied up with acting offers). We sat down for a little sun-bathing and to also chat with her. She was kind enough to answer a few questions for us. Below is the talk we had with the witch.
Key: WH=Witching Hour SW=Sea Witch
WH: When did you last see the Wicked Queen from Snow White?
SW: I see her almost every week, actually.
WH: Can you explain in detail what happened to the queen that ill-fated night she was with Snow White and her Prince?
SW: I can explain only what the queen was willing to tell me. She said it was all Snow White's fault. She never did one thing to cause any thing to happen to that cheeky girl! And I believe her, too!
WH: Can you tell us what exactly happened to the queen?
SW: She's in prison, where else?
WH: Thank you for your time.
