Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Thomas and the Tuba" from Season 8. This is also the first episode of the "New" Thomas series. Enjoy and comment.

It was a very important day on the Island of Sodor. It was Lady Hatt's birthday! There was going to be a great celebration, with fancy cakes, balloons, and even a merry-go-round.

But the biggest attraction of all was the brass band. It was coming from the mainland to play at the party.

Sir Topham Hatt came to Tidmouth Sheds.

"Thomas, you are to collect the brass band." he said.

"Thank you sir!" said Thomas.

The other engines were cross. They wanted to collect the brass band as well.

Thomas puffed happily across the Island, thinking about how happy everyone would be when they saw the brass band.

When he arrived at Knapford Station, the brass band was waiting on the platform.

The brass band climbed on-board Thomas, and Thomas puffed away.

But there was a problem. Thomas had forgotten to collect the tuba player!

Thomas chuffed into Maithwaite Station, and the brass band got off.

But then, the brass band realized something.

"Where is our tuba player?" he cried. "We cannot play without him!"

Nobody knew where the tuba player was.

"I'm sorry!" gasped Thomas. "I'll go back and collect him right away!"

Thomas raced back to Knapford Station, but what Thomas didn't know, was that the tuba player wasn't at Knapford Station.

The tuba player was waiting for Bertie the Bus.

Bertie soon arrived.

"Can you take me to the party?" he asked.

"I'll take you as far as I can!" replied Bertie

Bertie took the tuba player as far as he could.

"Thank you!" said the tuba player, and he waited for another ride.

He didn't have to wait long. Elizabeth the vintage truck pulled up.

"I can take you to the flour mill." she boomed.
"Thank you!" said the tuba player.

He climbed on-board Elizabeth's wagon and he practiced his tuba along the way.

Thomas was still looking for the tuba player.

"Where could he be?" he thought to himself.

He searched all across the line, but the tuba player was nowhere to be found.

"Where are you tuba player?" called out Thomas.

Elizabeth took the tuba player to the flour mill.

"Trevor will take you from here." said Elizabeth.

The tuba-player thanked Elizabeth and climbed on-board Trevor.

Trevor chuffed slowly down the lane.

Meanwhile, Thomas was looking for the tuba-player, when trouble occurred. Thomas banged into Percy, who was carrying decorations for the party!

"Look at what you've done!" snapped Percy.

"Now I'll never find the tuba player!" cried Thomas.

"Look and listen." suggested Percy.

Thomas puffed away.

Thomas took Percy's advice, and soon he found the tuba-player!

The tuba-player was pleased to see Thomas.

"I'm glad I found you!" laughed Thomas.

With the tuba-player on-board, Thomas set off towards the party.

The party was a huge success, and the brass band was the greatest attraction of all!
