This is just a little one-shot I made. It might seem a little angsty at first but it's not really. Note : I didn't like the ending so I changed it.

Some things were never meant to be. It is our fate to cry. To feel the need of human compassion.

Twenty year old Hinata Hyuuga snorted as she walked down the crowded street of Konoha. Love, pity, compassion she didn't need these things. She had friends and that was all that mattered. If this was indeed true as she believed it to be, then why did it feel so empty inside her?

Naruto had said once-before they had argued-that emptiness is bad that it consumes you and twists your personality to something barely human. God how she missed him. The way he laughed at attempts to keep him in line, the way his smile ate up all the darkness inside her. Shaking snow flakes out of her long dark hair Hinata veered left into a grave yard and walked down the isles.

Stopping in front of a large tombstone reading- Hiashi Hyuuga.

"Daddy I miss you. And I know we never really got along but I think I need help running the clan. It's all going wrong and no one cares enough to help any more..."She trailed off tears running down her ivory cheeks.

Naruto was on his way home from the grocery store. There happened to be a short cut through a grave yard so he doing what he felt any sensible person would do, took it. In the distance a young woman stood in front of a grave stone her shoulder shaking up and down. Walking over to her he called,

"Hey, are you okay?"

Turning Hinata saw Naruto standing beside her. He too was shocked to see her by the look on his face. Slowly he wrapped his arms around her and let the sobbing girl cry it out.

Looking up at him she whispered "I'm so sorry we argued. I don't even remember what it was about but I know it was all my fault and I'm sorry."

Fear shone in her eyes, fear of what Naruto wondered. It hit him a moment later, the fear that he wouldn't forgive her.

"Shh, It's not your fault. Don't think about it again." Kissing her forehead then both eyes Naruto took Hinata's hand and led her out of the grave yard.

"Hey, Naruto?" her voice was quivering and soft.

"Hmm...?"He had his arm around her waist and any passerby would think they were a couple, a thought that almost made Hinata blush.

"Do...Do you ever miss them?" There was no need to specify who "they" were. She was of course referring to his parents.

"Some times yes but I have other people that care about me...that I care about. As long as there's someone who cares about me then I know my parents are happy. If they're happy then I don't need to miss them. It must be so hard to lose someone who you've known all your life." Naruto finished, inviting Hinata to talk about her father.

"Every one thinks that I'm happy he's gone, because he always pushed me so hard to succeed and I always failed. But it isn't true, I miss him so much I some times when I remember how cruel he was I wish I didn't miss him...but still...I do." She was crying again.

Hugging Hinata and looking into her teary white eyes Naruto said "Hey stop, your pretty when you cry but your beautiful when you smile."

Just for him, just to make him happy Hinata smiled her largest smile ever. And you know what. It was her most sincere smile too.

Awww. Tell me what you think please this is my first one-shot. I think it is so much cuter with the new ending, it makes me smile.
