Rachel never got off the plane.
Summary: Rachel had been debating if she should leave her dream of going to Paris or get off the plane to be with Ross. She decided to get off the plane but it was to late, the doors had already been closed and they were getting ready for take off. She now had to go to Paris and see what would happen.
Two Months Later.
Rachel sighed as she talked to Monica on the phone, "Mon I love my new job, and Paris is great, but it is just not the same, I am not happy, I miss Ross."
"Ya I know that he misses you too, but what are you going to do about it, quit your job? Move back to New York? You know you can't do that right now you just got there."
Ya I know, I wish there was just some way that we could work it all out…. Ross is coming to visit Emma this weekend so hopefully we can talk and make it work."
"Yes I really do hope everything works out Hun, but the babies are screaming I really need to go feed them but please let me know how the visit goes."
Rachel waits for Ross's arrival, nervous and excited to see him for the first time since leaving him at the airport. She is not sure what is going to happen between them but excited to just be with him again.
Ross's flight lands and Rachel and Emma go to greet him.
"Wow she got so big," Ross sighed "I can't believe how much I have missed you both, you know it really hurt when you didn't stay."
"I know Ross believe me I wanted to so bad…. but we can't change the past, we need to deal with what we have now."
"Ya I know," Ross sighed
They all go back to the Apartment, they put Emma to bed and leave her with a sitter. Ross and Rachel go out for a beautiful dinner in Paris. Their table looks out to the Eifel Tower.
"Wow this city… and this view…. It's indescribable," Ross expressed
"I know isn't it just great, me and Emma really love it here, the only thing that is missing is you."
"I know I feel like I am missing so much of her life, she has gown up so much in the last two months."
"Ross…. Why don't you move here? I am here, your daughter is here, what else is there?"
"Well I can just leave my job…"
"Ross you can find a job as a professor here, and with the salary that my company is paying me, it is okay if you don't find work right away, you can enjoy sometime with your daughter."
"What about our friends, Monica, Chandler, the twins."
"They have moved on with their lives, moved out of the city… I think it is time for us to do the same."
"What about Joey, who is going to look after him?"
"We can have Phoebe and Mike check in on him, he will be okay."
They both sit in silence for a while, Ross deep in thought and Rachel hoping he will make the right decision.
"Well…. I think I would be a lot happier here with you and Emma… Let's do it!"
Rachel is ecstatic! She never thought the day would come where Ross would come join them in Paris. Everything is falling into place, she has the perfect job, a great kid, and now the one she wants to be with forever is finally coming to join them… she could not be any happier.
Ross moves to Paris later that month, they break the news to the rest of the gang and they take it surprisingly well. They knew how miserable both of them were apart and were happy that they were finally getting back together. The rest of the group plans to go visit them in the next few months so they are all reunited again.
Ross and Rachel have so much fun living together in the city of love and enjoy living together as one big happy family.
