A teenage girl sat on top of a building in New York City. Not just any building did she sit on. She sat on the Stark Tower. Her short dirty blond hair just an inch below the ear blew in the wind. She looked down at the city below.

"I'm bored." She stated to no one but the wind. She levitated down to the window. She cut the glass and slipped in quietly. She walked around not making a sound. She walked into the lab and started exploring.

'Weird. This was easy. Too easy.' She thought. The lights suddenly turned on. All the machines humming to life.

"Crap." She said under her breath. She ran to the window but she was too late. She was trapped by beams that burned when she touched them.

"Show yourself!" She demanded.

"Making demands when you are the one caught? You really are bold." Said someone from the shadows. She let out an anger breath out her nose.

"Yeah, okay. You got me. Can I go now?" asked running a hand through her hair.

"Sorry Alex. You're not going to be leaving anytime soon." The figure walked out of the shadows. A tall man with an eye patch over his left eye. A long black coat and a smirk on his face.

"Well may I ask what your name is?" She said her words drenched with sarcasm.

"Call my Sir. You'll learn my name when the time comes."

"Well then sir." She said prolonging the word sir. "What do you want from me?"

Fury let out a sigh of frustration, "It's not what I want from you. You are what I want."

"I'm not that kind of girl sorry man."

"This isn't a joke Alex. Let me give you the load down. I know everything about you, I know about your past." He paused and saw her tense before continuing. "I'm in need of your service."

"If you know my past you know I don't work for others."

"But you work if it helps you find what you need, correct?"

"I've been searching for years and have found no clue. What could you have that could help me?"

"A code, the code that could help you, I can't crack it. If you work with my team I'll let you use this code."

"That's what they all say. You need to make a promise that I know you can't break."

"What if I had the keywords your father used so you know I can be trusted?"

"My father was off the charts for years. Only I and two others know it. If you know it I will come with you now." She said challengingly.

"A blind girl can still see even if it's not with her eyes." He stated simply.

Alex stood there mouth ajar. No one has ever know that. 'Who is this man? How does he know this?' she thought. She recomposed herself and her usual smirk reappeared on her face.

"Well then sir. How about we get to work then. I don't have a lot of time left, but I guess you already know that."

"Yes I am aware of your situation." He said letting the shield down. "Let's get you to the quarters I have ready for you. The others will be arriving in the morning."

She chuckled quietly. "So you knew I would say yes huh?"

"Let's just say it helps to be ready for anything." He said walking out of the room. Alex followed after him. They entered the elevator.

"One more question for you." She said breaking the silence. "How did you know I would be here today?"

He let out a chuckle and walked out of the elevator. He walked a few feet until they arrived at a room, "You always do. This isn't our first time meeting like you think."

"Wait when did we-" He cut her off.

"We'll talk more tomorrow. Get some sleep." He turned and left.

Alex let out a sigh and entered the room. The simple black room with a bed and a desk across from it. The room was windowless only light by the lighting around the wall. She fell into bed shoes and all. Falling asleep quickly tomorrow was going to be a long day.
