SPN 100 Challenge, word: narrow.
Summary: Is it the man who defines a job? Or is it the job that defines a man? Do we choose or are we chosen? Sometimes it's hard to tell.

He narrowed his mind to the task at hand, cutting out every distracting emotion, eliminating doubt and fear and pity until the only thing left was the predator – all senses sharpened to track down the prey, anticipate its every move, kill it with deadly precision.
He went in, his blade singing while it danced through air and skin and bone, his body an instrument played with the unconscious grace of an artist.
Maybe it was true.
Maybe you had to be a monster to know one. Know its ways and weaknesses.
Maybe he'd end as one himself.
But not today.
