A/N: Written for the Hogwarts Games - Football Semis. This is not one of my better stories, at all. This was originally a friendship fic, but I realized it would just be better if I sort of transformed it into a relationship one. Please review!

It was such a nice day out, the day that Lily walked outside. She sat on the grass beside him, a book in her hands. "Lily," Sirius said, moving his things to make her room. They sat beneath an oak tree, giving them shade from the shining sun.

"Where's James?" Lily asked.

"He'll be here later. How are you?" Sirius had an agenda for today, one that James would not foil.

"I'm fine. I thought we were all meeting at four?" Lily checked her watch and frowned.

"He'll be here later. I wanted to spend time alone with you, anyway," Sirius said, looking her in the eyes. "I wanted to talk to you, Lily."

"What's going on?" Lily looked at Sirius, his hair falling in his eyes.

"I wanted to tell you about James," Sirius took a deep breath. "You remember when he couldn't come meet us last night? He felt sick, right?"

Lily nodded. "Yes, he even went to the hospital wing-"

"He wasn't sick," Sirius muttered.

"What do you mean?"

"He was with someone last night," Sirius said, "Sasha."

"Oh no," Lily said. "No."

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to be the one to tell," Sirius started. Lily dropped the book on the ground and looked at Sirius.

"We were going to get married," Lily whispered.

Sirius pulled Lily into his arms, and breathed the scent of her hair. Lemons.

"He should be here soon. Lily, I'm so sorry."

She dug her head into his chest. "Thank you for telling me," she said. They sat on the grass for a matter of minute or two, silence overwhelming them.

"We were supposed to have a life together."

"You still can," Sirius said.

"No, we cannot."

James strutted towards the two of them, a smile on his bright face.

"Afternoon, love," James sat down beside Lily. He gave her a kiss, and she accepted it with a small kiss in return, but with no smile.

"James we need to talk," Lily said reluctantly, her voice quivering and her hands shaking.

"What's the matter?" He watched a tear fall from her eyes. Sirius took his things in his arms, and cleared his throat in discomfort.

"I know about you and Sasha." James stood from the two of them, his eyebrows furrowed.

"You told, you bastard!" James' face became a deep shade of red, half with anger and the other with embarrassment.

"Well someone had to!" Sirius stood as well, his books in his hands.

"I was goingto!" James insisted. He pushed Sirius, who stumbled and nearly fell to the dirt. "I was going to talk to Lily myself!"

"Sasha must make you happy, huh?" Lily questioned, standing with the two of them. "Next time you won't have to worry about faking sick."

Lily walked to the common room, her things left on the ground. James quickly began to pick up Lily's things. Sirius pulled the books from James' hands with a stride, leaving James alone under an oak tree, on that very nice day.

But Sirius knew the intentions he had, the horrifying intentions he knew he would never receive forgiveness from.
