"Good morning," his cool breath tickled my neck.

"Mmm, very good morning." He chuckled, his arms tightening around me.

I loved starting my day like this, with Edward's cool, strong arms holding me. Protecting me. It was a Saturday morning and I had just woken up. The house was quiet so I assumed Charlie had already left for work.

I twisted around so that I was lying on my back to get a better view of his remarkable face. I will never get used to his perfect, symmetrical features. The slope of his nose, those intense eyes and long lashes all of which I have committed to memory.

My train of thought was cut off when he leaned his face closer to mine. The electricity humming between us. His lips brush mine and I inhale his intoxicating scent. His kisses are gentle and soft. Stone, cold fingers lightly sooth my check as if I were a very breakable, porcelain doll. Of course to him, I was. With his incredible, vampire strength, he could easily crush me. Despite what he may think of himself, there is no one I trust more with my life than him.

My growling stomach interrupted the precious moment and we both laughed, bringing us back to reality.

"Breakfast time for the human?" He smirked.

Reluctantly, we got off the bed and to the kitchen, our hands intertwined.
