Prompt : peace

Word count : 228 (way over 100 words, but it's still very short …).

Hermione Granger's thoughtful gaze drifted from her wand tip to her boyfriend, and then over onto her best friends.

They looked much better like this, she decided. The body of Draco Malfoy lay just a metre from those of Harry and Ron, yet there were no curses or ridiculous insults being hurled up into the stratosphere.

All she'd wanted was a bit of peace and quiet, but apparently over-zealous secret boyfriends like to follow innocent book-lovers to the library and accost them with unbelievably soft lips, sweet breath, stormy eyes and that musky scent … she was getting distracted. Anyway, over-zealous boyfriends would tend to accost one, and that would, inevitably, be the moment that ones over-protective friends decided to discover the aforementioned library for the first time in seven years.

A dark-haired Slytherin girl rounded the corner and stopped short at the sight of the petrified men.

"I take it they found out, then."

"And were predictably ridiculous, yes."

"Hmm," Pansy mused, as she stepped closer and leaned over Ron's still form. "He's quite handsome, isn't he?" Immediately she blushed, and backtracked a little. "I mean, when he's not doing his beetroot impression, you know."

Hermione just smiled to herself. She had been right - everything was better when there was a little bit of peace and quiet.

"Perhaps I'll leave them like this for a while."

A/N: Finally, I'm getting around to doing these! I hope you enjoyed it :D

Even though it's short, I still love reviews. There's both a poll and a really fun challenge (closes 1st September) on my profile, so feel free to check those out, too.
