Hey all! Recently I've been playing around with the idea of making a story about Vegeta's childhood. I'm not sure of the number of people who've done something like this, but I'm going to try to keep it as original as I can! Well, here you go! Enjoy!

"King Vegeta! You must come at once! The queen, she is having her child!" The medical assistant that had burst into the throne room departed as quickly as he had appeared. The king, after recovering his senses, followed the other Saiyan with his trusted body guard in tow.

"Alas, the day has finally come. Soon we will meet the face of the heir to the throne. Are you nervous, sir?" The leader of the elites and body guard, Zorn, cast a glance at his king. Much to Zorn's surprise, King Vegeta had the smallest of smiles gracing his usually impassive face.

"Nervous? Why would I be nervous, Zorn? I am more than certain my mate will have a son." Despite all of the stress that morning, Vegeta was ready to see his mate and soon-to-be son. Though Saiyan technology was quite advanced, both the king and queen had declined learning of the child's gender. Saiyan technology would not have been as advanced as it was had it not have been for the Arcosians. The Arcosians were willing to give them the use of their technology in exchange for the saiyans finding them a new planet to live on. The Saiyans and Arcosians were still on friendly terms; with the Arcosians providing new technology and the Saiyans their brute strength when needed. Not many planets had remained on good terms with the Saiyans after they had allied themselves with the tyrant, Frieza. That had been one year ago, and things still seemed to be alright to the Saiyan king. Finally reaching the door that separated Vegeta from his mate he paused to take a deep breathe before entering. Being royalty, the queen was able to stay in her won bed chambers instead of the room where the other pregnant Saiyans were. Upon their entry, Vegeta and Zorn saw Suika had already given birth. "My queen, how did it go?" Showing the slightest bit of worry, Vegeta crossed to his mate's side. Smiling, Suika offered the bundle in her arms to him.

In a voice heavy with exhaustion, she said, "Vegeta, meet your new heir, Vegeta."

Soo, what do you guys think? I quite like the idea of showing what I think Vegeta was like a child up until you first meet him in the DBZ series. I won't go through every single year, but I'll be sure to keep it entertaining for you guys! (:
