Hey! I'm just sooo bored, and I need to go to bed soon, so I decided to write a quick one-shot about Jason/Piper. This takes place after the Chyrsaor incident by the mouth of the Mediterranean/Mare Nostrum. MoA spoilers! Short, sweet, and fluffy.

Jason lay in bed, closing his eyes. He hoped that that ship full of Diet Coke and gold would be a tribute worthy for Dionysus/Bacchus. After all, he did help him once, so why not help him again?

Most of all, he hoped Percy was right. He hoped this plan would go alright, and the Athena Parthenos could be brought safely back to its rightful place. In Greece, in Athens, where it truly belonged. He still felt guilty for what the Romans did.

He wasn't alive, but he still felt guilty for what the Romans did. What were they thinking? Carting off the Athena Parthenos to Rome, stripping Athena of all her military importance and giving it to Bellona? Were they all dropped on their heads when they were kids?

He sighed and sat up. He walked outside and headed for the deck, where he could get some fresh air. Piper followed. "Hey, Jason. You don't look so well. Are you okay?" she asked. Jason smiled, the scar on his lip becoming more prominent. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little shaken about the surprise guest," he replied.

Piper reached for his hand. "Jason, that's not all, isn't it?" she said, her charmspeak involuntarily pouring into her voice. Jason shook his head and turned around. "No, no it's not. I just . . . I feel guilty." "Guilty? For what?" Piper said, her hand still on his. He smiled, though his face didn't show any humor. "For what the Romans did. I feel responsible for what happened. If only that didn't happen, we wouldn't be on this stupid quest!" he grumbled, walking towards the other side of the deck.

Piper trailed behind him. "Hey, it's not your fault. The Romans back then were . . . just too overconfident. Thinking they could take over any city or country. But now, it's not like that. And besides, if it hadn't been for this quest, we wouldn't have met Frank or Hazel. And we wouldn't have gotten those brownies. And those peach preserves that you love so much," she rambled.

Jason looked at her. "You always seem to brighten up my day. You are the best girlfriend ever. Period." Piper blushed and buried her head in the crook of his neck as they looked at the passing scenery. "I love you, Jason." She kissed his cheek and looked at him, smiled, and walked towards her room.

Jason smiled. "Love you too, Piper," he whispered.

A bit too short for my taste, but meh.

Review, si'l vous plait!
