75889523 - Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness [Daemon Beaver]
In the spirit world, there are many kinds of woods that are hardly ever entered. This is due to the fact that if one did enter these regions, many things could happen, from deadly traps to endless mazes created by the illusions of the woods. These woods are the primary habitat of the Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness. The Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness is a fickle creature. Though it has a demonic nature, these spirits actually prefer a simple life at their homes, living in nests of trees in haunted woods. They generally spend their time, flying solo, around large groves of trees in the haunted woods they live in, using their unusual demonic traits as a mind compass, which allows them to locate their position and displacement despite the illusions the woods provide. In general, they do not prey on other spirits, instead opting to eat acorns, though, on occasion, they may go out hunting for Acorno, who silently hide in the trees of their homeland.
In an unknown time in the past, a failed experiment from an unknown scientist caused the traits of the Archfiend legion monsters to start accumulating inside several lesser creatures, which forced many to go insane, and other to wither away. However, interestingly enough, a spirit of a beaver simply absorbed the powers of the Archfiend, before escaping into the wilderness of the Spirit World. The total amount of demonic energy that entered this creature is calculated to be at a very minuscule amount, and has resulted in very small physical changes such as wings and a horn, while it's overall nature and instincts remained the same. However, there are recorded incidents where the Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness does go out of its normal life to join up with other Archfiend monsters, though in those circles it is generally treated as a pet, rather than another soldier. Nevetherless, it accepted into their society due to the demonic traits it contains.
When threatened, or when their territory is invaded, their beast-like instincts attempt to dissuade the intruders from coming closer to them, often using a defensive mechanism, that scientists have named A.M.P.E or (Acorns Must Pelt the Enemy). Using the feeble intellect that the demonic energy within them provides, they attack their enemies at range with the only thing they really can, acorns. Though that seems like a minor issue at first, it is actually somewhat dangerous and effective as their wings allow them to fly up and use gravity to substitute for their feeble physical strength. Due to this, there are several recorded instances of concussions caused by this monster.
There have also been reports that several Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness's have been seen hanging around with Aussa, the Earth Charmer. This example has been used in a famous theory of the Duel Monsters Spirit World in determining that some monsters tainted with certain traits of other monsters that result in hybrids, do not always affect the elemental properties of said monsters and also that exposure is another key aspect to this equation. Of course, the Archfiend Marmot of Nefariousness couldn't care less about this, as the majority still remain in their respective homes in the haunted woods.
