Starfire's Clone
"Your Greatness, we have done it at last!" shrieked Dr. Krod, the head scientist. He was 3'2" and wore a white lab coat. His hair was greasy and he had a very thick unibrow.
"What is it this time?" asked Richard Grayson, ruler of the world. His hand was inches away from the big red button. When pushed, the platform Krod was standing on would open and Krod would fall into a pit of lava.
"We have cloned Starfire!" shrieked Krod.
"Really?" asked Richard. "This time she's not missing a head, has no brain, or any other technical difficulties you had last time?" His hand moved closer to the red button.
"She is already made," said Krod. "I have seen her. She is getting the originals memory prints so you don't have to reteach her everything about life."
"When should I be expecting her?" asked Richard, his hand moving away from the button.
"She will join you for dinner," said Krod.
"Excellent," said Richard.
As Krod left, Richard began to process what Krod had told him. Starfire was coming back. It seemed too good to be true. But it was a reality.
He remembered her death like it was yesterday. During a battle, Slade had stabbed her several times. Before Richard could do anything to Slade, he vanished. He had taken Starfire to the hospital and had waited for five hours just hoping she was okay. The worst moment of his entire life was when the nurse came and told Richard Starfire hadn't made it.
So he killed Slade. And anyone else who had tried to stand in his way. And eventually he took over the world. He had forced the best scientists alive to try to bring back Starfire. And now Krod and his minions had cloned her.
Richard looked at the clock. It was 6:25. Dinner was at 6:30. He got ready and went down the elevator to his perfect dining room.
He really hoped Krod had gotten it right this time. If not, well Krod was gonna wish he had.

Starfire was confused. Where the heck was she? It wasn't Titans Tower or anywhere familiar. And she didn't see any of her friends, either.
"Come this way," said the short guy, whose name tag read "Dr. E. Krod".
"Where are we?" asked Starfire.
"The Gold House," said Krod.
"Where is Titan's Tower?" asked Starfire.
"Gone," said Krod. "Don't step forward." He punched in a code on the wall. "Go ahead now."
"Why is it gone?" asked Starfire.
"I can't read the minds of evil dictators," said Krod.
"What do you mean?" asked Starfire.
"Duck," said Krod.
"A bird?" asked Starfire.
"No, duck down," said Krod.
"Oh," said Starfire. "Why is this building so paranoid?"
"Good question," said Krod. "Here's the door."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Richard was getting irritated. Krod was late. Half an hour late.
Just as he was getting ready to go and find Krod, however, that's when the door opened. And the girl who died ten years ago walked in.
