EPOV.

I sat quietly in the corner of her room, silently watching her sleep. I sighed, could I not stay away for more than a few days?

My mind was ripped from it's thoughts as I heard her heart rate speed up, telling me that she was about to wake up yet again, screaming in pain. I ducked out of the window and hung to the edge, waiting.

Finally, she jutted straight up from her sleep, screaming just like last night, and all the other nights after I left.

Charlie ran into the room, yet again, to check on her, knowing that she was physically fine.

I internally cursed myself. Physically fine maybe, but mentally? Oh no, I had scarred her and it was my fault she was in this state. I know she'll get over it eventually, she'll move on, one of us has to. I shook my head to clear the dark thoughts. I had to be strong; I had to stay away from her, for her benefit, for her life.

When I was positive that she had gone back to sleep I silently resumed my spot in the corner, watching my wounded angel dream. I allowed myself to slip as close to sleep as I ever could, simply sitting there in a daze.

Without warning, she shot up yet again, this time not screaming, but smiling, well, as much as she could now.

"Edward" She breathed. "How long have you been sitting there tonight?"

Her voice was barely a whisper even to my ears.

I couldn't answer her if I tried, my mouth wouldn't make a noise over the shaking unneeded breath that was passing in and out.

"Edward, please, just answer me." The pain in her voice was apparent, I could taste the pain in the air around her, smell it radiating from her skin.

"I've known you were coming here for a while now, just two days after you left, I noticed you here."

"Bella," My voice was just as shaky as my breath. "I…I…"

"Then again," She said hollowly. "You may just be a figment of my imagination."

"Bella, it's me, I'm…I'm here."

She shook her head. "No, you're not. You left me in the woods a few days ago, you can't be here, you said you wouldn't come back."

"Bella, love, I am back, and I promise, if you want me to leave I'll leave, just say the word."

Her face lit up with an eerie glow of happiness.

"No, silly. You can't leave; you can't, because you never came back to begin with. You're not really here, I'm just crazy, that's all."

I watched shocked as she continued her small rant.

"So, if you're not really here, then if I left, you wouldn't be hurt, because, you wouldn't know."

Her track of mind was beginning to confuse and scare me at the same time.

"Bella, sweetheart, what are you talking about?"

She smiled at me. "Nothing, I just don't want you to get hurt."

I watched as she got up and walked across the room, still smiling.

"Bella? Bella, what are you doing?"

She reached the window and looked out, then she turned to me and said, "I'm helping you the way you helped me."

Before I could react, the dove head first out of her window, I ran over and leaned out the window to see my angel once again, lying broken at my hands. I jumped down and held her to my chest as her breathing became increasingly shallow. Then, I did the only thing I could do; I bit her neck, releasing my venom into her body, being careful to pull away quickly. As I heard my broken angels heart beat for the last time, I heard her mutter.

"Thank you, Edward, I love you."

I pulled my dear sweet, Bella into my arms, cradling her close.

"Yes, darling, I love you too."
