"Come on Neville, don't be such a guppy," Luna shouted to me from the water. I was sitting up on the dock refusing to get in the water.
"I'm not being a guppy I just don't want to get in," I called back. We'd been at the lake house in France, with the remaining members of the DA before we all returned to Hogwarts this fall to take our NEWTS, for a week and I had been able to avoid the water so far but Luna wanted to swim out to the small island close to our house and everyone else was already there.
She swam up to the dock and said, "Why won't you come swimming with us Neville?" I answered so softly that she couldn't hear me, "What was that I couldn't hear you, I think the nargles must be clouding your brain."
I sighed resigned to my fate, "I can't swim."
She looked at me for a moment pondering my dilemma. Then she grabbed me by the hand and pulled. I gasped and sputtered for air after getting submerged she grabbed me and said, "Trust me Neville. Just do what I do," she proceeded to move her arms in a movement much like a windmill and kick her legs and after watching for a couple of minutes I tried and succeeded!
"THAT'S IT NEVILLE! KEEP GOING IM RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" I swam and swam until I couldn't swim anymore and then I floated as I had watched Luna do when she was demonstrating to me. She caught up to me just as I was finishing my rest, "Great job Neville turns out you can do anything if you just shake the nargles out."
A/N: hey this is short but I just had to right it I've been in the hospital for a while and wasn't able to use the computer so I'm really behind on all of my fics I know Luna is a bit OOC but she is hard for me to write because you never know what she's going to say any way I'm a bit rusty so I thought I would right this so I could try to get my head back in the game
