Sunset Shimmer starred blanky at the chalk board. She knew she should be paying attention but the pounding in her head thought otherwise. Sunset could feel six pairs of concerned eyes on her. She tried to ignore the awkward feeling and pretend she hadn't noticed them starring. Sunset knew she should've just kept her mouth shut, but when she mentioned she was a bit tired all 6 had gone into there own sort of mother hen mode. Sunset was off in dream land picturing how nice her bed would be right now.
"Sunset Shimmer the answer please," The statement was cold but it definitely brought the light amber girl out of her daze.
"Huh" she blurted out. She met the man's stare.
"The answer please Ms. Shimmer"
"Oh... Um... I'm not sure, sorry" She looked down to her lap not wanting to meet anyone's eyes or see there faces. The bell rang loud and proud through the school saving her from any future embarrassment. Sunset rushed out of her seat and practically ran out of the room.
Twilight glanced to the other girls and saw they all had the same look.
"Something else is definitely up with her," Twilight announced to the group while fixing her glasses, as they exited the class.
"The poor thang looks exhausted," Added Applejack as the girls stood in a circle in the hall.
"Well I have class with her next so I'll try to see what's up." Twilight offered as all the girls nodded in agreement, then proceeding to go there separate ways.
Twilight rushed to her next class not wanting to show up late. Once she entered the door she realized Sunset Shimmer wasn't there. She gazed all around the room to be certain but the amber pony was nowhere to be found.
Twilight then remembered Sunset's secret spot. She quickly turned and headed for the stairs making her way as quickly as she could up them. Once she made it to the second floor she quickly scanned around for the door finding it easily. She checked to make sure no one was watching before quietly making her way through the door where she was met with a stone spiral staircase. Twilight soon made it to the top, she had to stop and catch her breath. Once she caught her breath she could finally see if she had been correct.
"Sunset Shimmer," She called out. Looking around the tower. Right as always Twilight rounded the corner and against the wall sat a sleeping Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight quietly clicked her tongue in dissapointment. The pale orchid girl could visibly see Sunset shivering even though it was easily over 20C. The girl slowly crouched down in front of light amber girl, slowly putting a hand to her forehead. She felt the heat radiating off of Sunset, her eyes grew worried. She gently shook the girl. Sunset slowly opened her eyes, dazed and confused.
"Wh-whats going on?" Sunset tiredly questioned trying to focus her thoughts.
"You have a fever, why didn't you stay home if you're sick," Twilight questioned while taking a seat beside the girl bringing her close running her fingers through Sunset's hair. Their relationship wasn't ever labelled they both just did whatever felt natural.
"Foster mom said I was lying," Sunset was clinging to Twilight trying to get warm. Sunset Shimmer had been adopted by a family. Though she didn't really exist her foster family didn't care much. They were cruel just wanting a foster child for the extra cash. It was a roof over her head though. Sunset shimmer had spent some time living alone on the streets till she got caught stealing food.
Twilight wasn't happy. Twilight hated Sunset's foster parents. They were incredibly rude, disrespectful. Twilight gently massaged Sunset's head trying to comfort her.
"Try to get some sleep I'll be here when you wake up"
