Tales of the Moonlight
A Narnian Poem by:
Desert Crossing
Tales of the moonlight soft and strong,
Just as the robin waits for the dawn.
Quietly, Patiently, he abides by night,
Only to sing his song by light.
Tales of the moonlight soft and strong,
Fauns set a dancing by versed song!
Even as dwarven hammers ring,
so shall the creatures sing!
For this well be the way things go,
Just as the stars are set aglow!
Tales of the moonlight soft and strong,
Just as the wolf howls smooth and long.
His fellows may join and sing,
Many more voices does this bring.
Tales of the moonlight soft and strong,
Ring in the ears like a gong.
As when Aslan roars, with great might,
For it is he who made day and night.
