A "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" short-story. A one-shot that combines the perfect book series' settings with the mediocre movie's lines to produce something newly bodacious! (Hope you like it! Don't forget to review!)
Flight
Two owls rose from the canyon mists. They left behind St. Aggie's in their wake. An older owl, a Barn Owl, flew in the lead. The younger owl, an Elf Owl, flew tailwind. They had escaped! They had never felt so alive!
"So what do we do now, Soren?" the younger Elf Owl queried, looking for guidance and decision from the elder owl.
"We're going to find the Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Gylfie," Soren replied.
"I guess we'd better get flying then!" young Gylfie sassily replied.
"What cheek, young one!" said Soren, faking repulsion.
Then he smiled…
"Scratch that! Race you, youngling!"
"Hey Soren! Wait up! No fair! RACDROPS!" was all the younger Elf Owl could splutter out of her beak.
And so, Soren and Gylfie flew onwards. To Ga'Hoole, to here, to there, to wherever their adventures may lead them. And to wherever their true family may be.
