For the record, I am NOT a Satan Worshiper, I just love metal.
If you are supporter of some type of shipping or a point of view regarding a video game series, movie, and/or TV show, you may run into what are called "Fanbrats," which are members of a fandom that criticize fans of the opposite POV for their views on a shipping or even something else. You'll find Anti-Sonamy fanbrats on DA Sonamy pages, which create ENTIRE arguments that sometimes range from 5 replies to over 20 replies long. Through thorough observation regarding fanbrats and their bashing of fans with different opinions, here is what I have gathered:
As I said, Deviant Art users have created pages dedicated their One True Shippings; (OTS) it is a great tool to associate with other fans of the same OTS, but for whatever reason, some fans of opposite opinion feel the ultimate need to disparage, for example, Sonally fanbrats target Sonamy fans; don't get me wrong, there are Sonamy fanbrats as well.If you are a Sonamy or Sonally fan, you mayhave felt akin to a person at church or some sort of religious center, and suddenly, a crowd of Atheists crash through the doors and begin to bad-mouth your faith.
Be honest, if somebody actually did that, it would ruin some peoples' days.
Now this may seem slightly over-the-top, but some members of a particular fandom feel that way when a fanbrat(s) does something such as that.
I understand the feeling that there are people who bash your shipping and/or whatever you like, but remember this:
Fanbrats are not worth your time.
I believe that if we Sonamy fans stick to our own fandom and everybody else sticks to their own fandom; if we completely ignore fanbrat comments, they will eventually silence.
