Eleanor was standing in the clown covered room staring at Chidi she had to think of a way out of this Michael was gonna reset them any second. What could she write down to bring back her memories. This whole situation was makeing her stressed like Chidi haveing stomachaches stressed. No one was coming up with ideas for a way to get out of this mess. So she was scrambling around the room for something anything.
Then it hit her one of Chidis Kant books and scribbled "find Chidi" on it then she shoved it in Janets mouth. Then Chidi walked up to her and said "Im sorry Eleanor, that i failed you" then Eleanor returned with "no you were my flashlight" then Michael snapped his fingers and everything was reset.
It was a couple weeks later till Chidi and Eleanor saw eachother in the good place again. It was at a party. Eleanor needed to bounce this place to many good people and who wants to give a speech anyway. Then she heard someone say the name Chidi. Then she saw a tall looking man with clark kent frames around his face and some professor looking suit on. She walked up to him excitingly "are you Chidi" he nodded slowly. she jumped up hell yeah she found him. He helped her with the problem of being in the good place.
Weeks passed and Eleanor was watching the tape of her and Chidi again. What was this the fiftieth time. The vcr had a light glow around it the i love you back and forth sent chills down Eleanor spine. She only ever had said that to stone cold Steve Austin. Then her thoughts were pulled away by Chidi opening the house door. He paused and looked at Eleanor she had been watching that mkvie alot lately what made that move so addicting anyway.
Chidi who didnt watch alot of movies went to Jason for his question of Eleanors weird "canon ball" movie obsession. Jason was like" dude just watch it with her and then she will stop watching it". Chidi thought about it and it was a food plan. So when he opened the door to the house that day he saw a anxious Eleanor stareing back at him. He then realized what was makeing her anxious it was him and her saying i love you on tv. They stared back at eachother Chidi frozen in place and Eleanor completely silent.
Eleanor decided to do the only thing dhe knew. Rip the bandaid off and with the new found ablity to talk about her "feelings". She lied about her feelings for Chidi and Chidi responded how she thought he would. Nothing. He felt nothing for her she faked a smile and walked out the room trying to hold how sad she felt. Chidi on the otherhand was a mess the ethics professor who had never had confidence really wish he had some right now he loved Eleanor bit could not tell her the ethics were to messy. A teacher and a student it would not work.
