Makayla's body slipped, and she fell in to the icy depths that were below her.

Jack Frost heard a loud splash, and a high pitched scream.

His mind flew to when his sister had almost drowned, and he rushed to save the young woman that was drowning.

He lifted her form out of the water.

His body had long since gotten used to the cold, so he didn't really feel it.

He proceeded to give her CPR, and he felt her body slowly respond to the air that it was given.

She threw up the water that had sunk in to her lungs.

She slowly sat up to face her savior.

"What happened?" Makayla's voice was dry from her recent encounter with the water.

"You nearly drowned." Jack whispered, seemingly saddened by the almost tragic event.

"Thank you for saving me." Makayla told him, feeling like that wasn't enough gratitude for the man that had saved her.

"No problem." Jack answered.

Makayla had waited for a while for her mind to come up with a form of gratitude to repay the favor of saving her life.

She had eventually decided to just give Jack her heart, and so she did, little by little.

She now knew what it meant to love someone with all of your heart.

Makayla often times wondered about how she could be so blessed; she loved a man more than life itself, and he loved her back.

She had been the happiest woman alive when they had married, and had adored their kids.

Makayla knew that her life was fading, and that her husband would live far longer than she would.

Still she could never regret the life that she had chosen.

Her husband never did grow old with her, but they had both been happy.

She wondered what her life would be like if Jack had never saved her that day, or what Jack's life would have been like.

Makayla Frost had died with a smile on her face, and her heart full of love for her family, and her husband.
