The drop of bowling balls was like thunder and the strike of pins like the crack of lighting. Other than that, and Kurt and Sebastian's own chatter and giggles, though, the alley was completely silent. It was empty all except for Kurt and Sebastian.
In all fairness, it was quite an unusual day to be bowling. It was a bright and sunny Sunday, still relatively early in the day. Kurt and Sebastian themselves hadn't even planned to go bowling. Sebastian had asked Kurt to go out for breakfast with him earlier that morning, as friends, of course. However, when it came up in conversation that Kurt had never been bowling, Sebastian simply had to take him.
So, that's where they found themselves, after Kurt's fussing over how heavy the bowling balls were and his disgust after renting shoes was done and over. They were bowling, and not very well, either, on Kurt's part, and no doubt being a nuisance to the poor girl working her shift that had to stay in the alley so long as there was at least one person there willing to bowl.
"Here," Sebastian offered after Kurt's third gutter-ball in a row. He walked up behind Kurt and gently put his hand over Kurt's on the ball. Kurt's breath caught slightly, as he did so, though he'd never admit it if you asked. It was strange to have Sebastian want to help instead of ridiculing him, but Kurt' wasn't complaining.
Sebastian guided his arm back, helping Kurt aim. "Now try," he murmured in Kurt's ear, gently letting go of his arm.
Kurt nodded with a slight blush, and did what he was told, rolling the ball down the alley. They both watched in anticipation, and let out a triumphant cheer when the ball knocked over nine of the ten pins.
"See? Better!" Sebastian smiled widely.
Kurt laughed. "I think you're just on a lucky streak. If you're such the expert, I dare you to get the last pin," he teased.
"Fine," Sebastian rolled his eyes. Though, it was nothing like the eyerolls he used to give Kurt. This one was… fond, almost.
Sebastian lined up his shot cautiously, then rolled his own ball down the alley. It hit the singular pin perfectly, surprisingly, and Sebastian whipped around to face Kurt with a whole new grin.
"Oh my god!" Kurt squealed, laughing, "You actually did it!" He threw his arms around Sebastian in all the excitement without a second thought about it.
Sebastian's smile faded to a softer one, now that he and Kurt were practically hugging and Kurt blushed, looking away. He must've just realised that, too.
Sebastian gently placed a hand under Kurt's chin and guided Kurt to look back. He pressed a chaste kiss to Kurt's lips, but to his surprise, Kurt leaned into it.
They stayed like that for a few seconds, savouring it, before Sebastian finally pulled away. He let out a chuckle.
"What?" Kurt asked, not seeing what was so funny.
"I guess I really am on a lucky streak."
