Chapter One: Yukari Sakuragi
The rain was pouring outside; the greyness of the sky unmistakable as I stared at the teacher as he called out my name.
"Sakuragi Yukari. Are you present today?" I answered him before going back to ignoring the man. The date was May twenty-sixth. This morning, I walked with the new transfer student, Sakakibara Kouchi since it was raining and he didn't have an umbrella to keep himself from getting soaked to the bone.
I looked at my umbrella absent-mindedly; it was one that my late mother had bought me a while back. It was pure white, perfect for shielding me from the rain. In my peripheral vision, I noticed Misaki Mei and the transfer student leaving the room. No-one else seemed to notice it judging by the other students' reactions, or lack thereof.
I continued class alternating between daydreaming and silently taking notes until the loud bell bounced off the walls of the room. I quickly stood up and grabbed my umbrella; maybe I could walk Sakakibara-san home today if I caught up with him.
Exiting the classroom, the last thing I'd expected to see was the transfer student talking to the non-existent one, Misaki Mei. I didn't know what to do, my legs screamed at me to get out of there as fast as my legs could carry me to the opposite stairs. That was when I lost my footing. The ground was slippery from the rain outside, making it impossible for me to regain my balance.
I was helpless as I tumbled down the steep stairs. I tried to scream when I realised I would land on the sharp point of the umbrella. I couldn't hear anything, I don't know if I really did scream or not. Before I knew it a sea of red made itself known in front of my eyes. I couldn't say anything, only let out strangled noises as I tried to get up.
In the end, I realised there was no chance for me; things slowly became black before my eyes. That's my story. That's how I died due to the curse 3-3 in Yomiyama North Middle School.
A/N: Hello! Chris here. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this short drabble that I wrote on Yukari's death. It was rather gruesome wasn't it? It took me a while to compile it because I wanted to put it in her point of view instead of third person. I'd say it ended well. Any constructive criticism and reviews will be greatly appreciated. I plan to write more in the future too!
