"Edward, Tanya and Kate are coming for a visit later today, would you mind vacuuming the rug in the sitting room?" Though the Cullen's house was always spotless, Esme constantly fretted over her house when they had company coming.
"Of course Mom, you don't even have to ask," Edward replied, and she really didn't have to ask, what with the mind reading and everything.
Edward sped to the closet and pulled out the vacuum. Once he was in the sitting room, he pulled out his mp3. Edward preferred to do his chores without the thoughts of others interrupting his thoughts, he found it relaxing.
"Playlists…..favorites…..got it," Edward muttered to himself, and he set to the task at hand. Being a vampire, a simple chore shouldn't take as long, but Edward preferred to take his time. He made sure to get every last corner, but he still finished quickly. He could hear that Esme wanted him to do more so he started without being asked.
"Thank you, Edward," Esme said when she heard him start dusting. Edward was so into the music that he didn't realize she was talking to him. He began singing to himself as he dusted the sideboard in the dining room, and he didn't register Tanya, Kate and Bella's footsteps coming up the long wooded drive.
"Hey, you're a crazy bitch, but you f—"
"EDWARD!" Esme exclaimed in horror. He stopped singing, but not before Tanya, Kate, and Bella heard him with their superior hearing.
The three girls walked into the house giggling at the sight of Edward's embarrassment.
"You're lucky I took Renesmee to Jake's today, she shouldn't hear her father singing like that," Bella said with mock sincerity through her now raucous laughter. Tanya and Kate were beside themselves at Edward's face. If vampires were able to blush, Edward would be the color of ripe tomatoes.
"You three better hush up about this, you know Emmett and Japer would never let me live this down," Edward said with a slight snarl. He would have been frightening if the girls weren't laughing uncontrollably.
"TOO LATE!" Emmett shouted from the garage. He showed up in the room followed by Jasper, and they both broke into hysterical laughter.
"Hansen," Edward angrily replied.
"Mmmett Bop," Jasper quickly followed through girlish giggles.
The room, now completely filled with the addition Alice, Rosalie and Carlisle, was filled with the musical laughter of ten ridiculously giddy vampires.
