Yuzuki Reads The Dictionary

-Story Begin!-

He always used BIG and LONG words that no one with a fifth grade education (which apparently I have) would understand. Hmph. He's like really smarticle and stuff.

I never understood a word he said.

"Well then, why don't you read a dictionary? I'm sure you and your pea brain would love to learn." L suggested. So...I did.

I searched through the aisles, and after ten minutes of searching...I found it!

Webster's Big Dictionary For The Hopelessly Lost.

Pfft. Yeah right.

It was high up so with with the best of my abilities...(which was making the clerk climb up and bring it down....ha ha he got squished, and brought it to my desk.) and viola! I was ready to worky work!

So, cracking my knuckles. I got right down to work.

~ 3 Days Later ~

"Are you sure about this, L?" Mello said, looking up at L, as they sat quietly on the couch and watching the news. Well, Mello was preoccupied with his chocolate bar, and Matt with his PSP, and Near with his puzzle.

"Sure about what, Mello?" L said taking is eyes of the screen and turned them to Mello.

"Leaving Yuzuki alone with a dictionary."

L shrugged.

"She's been in there for three days straight..." Near said not taking his eyes of the puzzle.

"But don't forget..." Matt said not taking his eyes of the PSP. "It's Zuki-chan. No one knows what's going on in her head..."

L rolled his eyes. "Or if anything even is going on in that head..."

~ One More Day Later ~

"Don't you think you should check on her...?" Matt asked L.

Mello laughed. "She must've died trying to read the title of the book."

Matt nudged his side. "No way my Princess would be defeated by a book!"

"It must've squished her then..." Near said without worry."

L sighed, standing up. "Fine...I'll go check on her..."

L pushed open the doors to the library with one hand, he searched the aisles for any sign of life. Nope...nope...

"Zuki-chan!" he called. "Are you..." he stopped dead in his tracks a giant shadow looming over him. The shadow happened to belong to a pile stacked up of books.

Yuzuki popped her head out from under a pile of books. "Hey! L-Kun!" she waved. "I got bored after reading the definition for 'a' and I threw the book down and then 'poof!' I made this!" she gleamed with pride at her accomplishment.

"This is why no one will ever have a rhetorical conversation with you..." he mumbled. And she chucked 'Breaking Dawn' at his face as he fell to the floor. Rubbing his face and groaned. "What was that for?!"

"Everytime you say a big word that I can't...um....what was the word...?" she scratched her head.

"Comprehend...?"

Then she threw a math calculus book at his face again.

"Yeah! That word! Everytime I don't understand you, instead of having to look it up, I'll just throw a book at your head!"

He sighed and stood up. "I'll keep that in mind."

Then she threw another random book at his head. He glared at her. "What was that for?!"

She smirked and gathered books in her palms.

"It's payback time!"

L sighed. "Shit."
