Okay, this is so far out of my comfort zone I may as well be sitting stark naked in russia.

Enjoy.

The screaming fairy wants to be a dragon.

Fairys aren't so pretty when they scream.

Fleur delacour used to scream.

She used to have nighmares about darkness and spells and evil mad laughter and she used to cry and scream at night and her mother would come into her room and tell her sternly in French "fairys aren't pretty when they scream" a screaming fairinf isn't as good as a quiet house elf. Who will want a screaming fairy like you for a wife when they can have a hard working plain girl." her looks were all she had, she was supposed to marry a rich man. Muggle or wizard, they didn't care as long as he was rich enough to support the landrich bankrupt delacour family.

They used to have vaults filled with old money passed from generation to generation. But a few generations ago it all got frittered away and now they were pretty and poor. She was the screaming fairy used to boys falling over themselves to get to her. So when it came to the triwizard tournement she couldn't tell why the strange Ginger boy liked the dragons.

She asked him why, told him they weren't pretty and he just said he liked them because they had fight, and spirit. She thought for a while on this and returned with more questions to find he was gone, his stranger beautiful brother in his place.

And she was smitten.

He was hardworking and beautiful, clever and strong and muscley, he was everything she wanted and the only thing he didn't have was money, the only thing her parents cared about.

But by the time it got around to telling her parents about him it was too late, she was in love and wasn't going to give that up. She fought her parents for him and he fought the world for her, his family didn't approve either, they thought her snooty and aloof, they couldn't see how much they loved each other.

It wasn't until one day he came home, fresh scars down his face that she had to fight his family; because he was too weak to.

After that they had no complaints anymore.

The screaming fairy had won, she had fought and she had been a dragon.
