It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining bright and there were no clouds to block it's warm rays. Birds chirped and the sound of children laughing could be herd all through the neighborhood. I sat up on my bed, scribbling fiercely in my notebook. I was just at the exciting part of my new story. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror on top of my dresser. My eyes were wide and my hand was moving about a mile a minute. I kept on writing. The phone rang. I stopped, threw my notebook on the floor, and grabbed for my phone.
"Hello?" I said when I had the phone up to my mouth.
"Hi, Aurora!" The cheery voice said.
"Oh, hi Samantha! What's up?"
I laid back down on my bed and began to twist the phone cord around my finger.
"I wanted to know if you would like to come with me on a bike ride."
I sat up. "Yes!" I yelled. "Of course I'll come!"
I herd Samantha laugh. "I knew you would. It's a good thing it got warm out. I was about to go crazy from all this cold weather. Well, I'll meet you at the bridge at 3:00."
I looked out the window and watched two couples ride by.
"Sure," I said. "See you there."
When I herd the click of my friend hanging up, I looked at my watch. It was 2:28. I have thirty two minutes left till' I have to leave, I thought. That's enough time to finish.
