She never gave her a second look.
She was hardly willing to give her a passing glance
Her heart was colder than ice.
Still, Nami could feel that certain fire of longing burn in her heart whenever she looked at Robin. She could feel this fire grow hot enough even to melt the ice off of the older woman's closed up heart. She felt her fingertips tingle with the thought of even just brushing against her. She could feel her legs begin to buckle under Robin's intense gaze and sensual voice.
But, she curled up in bed at night, knowing it could never happen.
She didn't stand for stupidity.
She took her work seriously.
Her spirit was on the breaking point from the reality of the world.
Still, Robin couldn't help but imagine something there. She would observe Nami snap at the other crew members, ready to rip her hair out, only to calm down her demeanor toward Robin. She would quietly rejoice when a bit of good news from her would bring an almost childlike sparkle to the younger woman's eyes. She took pleasure from purposefully brushing against the other and briefly feeling goosebumps on her skin.
But, she curled up in bed at night, knowing it could never happen.
