The Ordinary Lives of Sabata and Django

Disclaimer: I don't own the Boktai series, or any of the characters, unless it is one of my own characters, which will be introduced later. If I DID own Boktai, I would have brought the third game to North America in English long ago.

A Note To Whom It May Concern: This will b a story about the day-to-day lives of Sabata and Django. There will be no shounen-ai or yaoi. I have been playing Boktai for years, and I love the games, but I have not played Boktai 3, so please inform me if I'm off on some of the details. Flames and reviews appreciated, j0. This story would take place after all the best endings, or basically, MY games.

Chapter 1 - The Prologue

Sabata awoke. He stretched, and yawned, and got out of bed. The Dark Boy looked around. Clean clothes on his dresser. So Django HAD done the laundry.

Wine-red eyes widened and Sabata cursed loudly.

"Django! What time is it!"

There wasn't an answer. Sabata growled and struggled out of his silver moon pajamas as fast as he could, and into his school clothes.

Yes, school clothes.

Things had changed a lot over the course of a year in San Miguel. The rebuilding of the city had gone very well after the encounter with Fenris. The city had expanded over lost territory to Sixth Avenue, where Ringo and Mani's old house was now rebuilt and the Saviors of San Miguel resided. The citizens needed to expand the city, for people were moving in like crazy after word got around of a Pink Solar Tree and no immediate vampire threat.

Sabata passed the Pile Driver Zero-Shifting as fast as he could, thankful for the lack of sun today.

North past the Pile Driver, near Jormungandr's binding spear, the Spiral Tower, there resided a school. There were only a few things to take care of in that area, namely a few skeletons, crows, and jellies. Django and Sabata personally cleared out this place as carefully as possible to make sure nothing was left behind.

Sabata saw familar pink hair up the stairs.

"Zazie! Did the bell ring yet?"

She turned around, walking backwards.

"Nope, I dun think so."

The school had been one of the first things built in this area. It was large, and a lot of area had been cleared for it. When Django had complained to the San Miguel Reconstruction Commitee about the learning facility being built over the entrance of Dream Avenue, Lady had shot back with "Would you rather your classmates go in and get slaughtered, Solar Boy?"

Zazie was wearing the school uniform. That being the stereotypical Japanese schoolgirl uniform, but as usual, the Star Reader was carrying her large green question mark-esque staff, much to the chagrin of many adolescent boys looking for dates.

The Dark Boy slowed down to a walk when he reached Zazie.

"Woke up late, huh?"

Sabata nodded. "And you?"

"I was doin' mah homework."

Sabata shook his head.

"What?"

"Nothing. You just amaze me sometimes."

"How's dat so?", Zazie inquired, staff over her shoulder and a dangerous look in her eyes.

"Well, for one th-" The Dark Boy was interrupted by a loud clanging sound. "We're late!"

The Moon Beauty Zero-Shifted past Zazie, who turned around and ran for the building.
