Ginny's Point Of View
Ginny's heart ached and felt like it was going to explode with happiness at the same time. Fred was gone, forever. But, Harry had just defeated Voldemort. She wasn't afraid to say his name. He was done causing pain and suffering to innocent Wizards and Muggles. She sat, curled up on a chair beside her family. She was all out of tears. Poor George, she thought. He had disappeared immediately after Harry had killed Voldemort and the fighting was over. She couldn't imagine how horrible it would be to lose your twin. Your missing piece.
She felt like Harry was her missing piece. She had missed him and worried herself crazy the whole time he was off finding Horcruxes. Harry had explained the whole thing to her later. Why he was gone, what they were doing, and why he couldn't tell her. It made her happy -those reasons- because she knew that he didn't want any harm to come to her. She had had a crush on Harry Potter since the first time she laid eyes on him. A crush that had never faltered, even when she had taken Hermione's advice and dated other guys in hopes of getting over him. Then, finally, something had changed in Harry and after they had won the Quidditch match against Ravenclaw, he had kissed her.
At Dumbledore's funeral he broke up with her. But now that she fully understood, she respected him. He was perfect, from his determined and likeable personality to his messy, black hair. She knew that he was the only one she would ever want to be with. Dean Thomas, Michael Corner, they meant nothing anymore. Sure, she felt bad for hurting them, but one cannot help who they fall in love with. She was in love with Harry, and she wasn't about to let him go. When he has rested, and the world has calmed a little, she would talk to him. But now, now was the time to mourn. To mourn with her family because they had just lost one of the greatest people a person could ever hope to know.
