Karat grumbled, as he retook the human test again, aggressively clicking the mouse as he picked his choices. He was sent a link by Egbert, telling him all about how humans used signs called horoscopes to find there quadrant mates, usually by completing tests they would find their results that would supposedly lead them to their perfect match. It was quite stupid and Karkat had scoffed about the ideology behind this idea, if you could even call it that. Yet not before insulting Egbert and his human ways.
In hindsight he should have been aware that it was another prank, a looped test that kept going back to the beginning after finishing it. However, Karkat just couldn't figure it out and slowly got frustrated because of it. His face turning a dark red and he grasped his hair only to pull at it. He slowly began to growl as he glared at his computer, the light from it shining on his face within the dark room.
"Listen. You. Fucking. Test. I don't know what you're game is but you will give me my results!" Slowly, very slowly. He moved the cursor of his mouse onto the little button that read, 'My results'.
Once more it went back to the beginning of the test.
"Fucking hell! Listen here nooksniffer I just want me goddamn results! Give them to me!" Karkat yelled as he smacked the computer on it's side before resting his head in his hands. Frustrated beyond belief.
Karkat was so distracted in what he was doing that he didn't hear the soft creaking of his opening door. Though he did notice the person walking in and the light shining into the dark bedroom. He sighed as his matesprite walked up behind him. Gently, her warm mitted hands moved on his shoulders massaging the tense muscles underneath.
"What's wrong karkitten?" Came the soft mewl as Nepeta nuzzled her face into soft hair.
"Nothing really," Came the exhausted sigh, followed by soft moans as Nepeta slowly but effortlessly eased the tension out of him.
"But Karkitty, mew're so tense!" Nepeta cried as she cuddled up from behind Karkat, her chest rumbling as she purred.
"Well," Karkat began, already knowing how persistent and sneaky Nepeta could be when she wanted to know something. "Egbert sent me this miserable excuse for a human test. Designed to find compatible matesprites, I just wanted to see how pathetic it really was."
"Mmmm, I see," Nepeta purred as she moved her hand into Karkats hair. She looked down as she slowly scratched around the base of one of his horns, and was presented to a very desirable sight. Karkat, eyes closed, looking absolutely pleased. How cute!, Nepeta thought gently kissing his forehead.
"Then why were mew yelling about getting mew're results?" Came the question, and Karkat snarled as he remembered what caused his anger in the first place.
"Every single time I finished the test and went for my results is sent me back to the beginning of the quiz to do it all over again!" Karkat yelled, slamming his hand onto the keyboard.
Nepeta giggled softly at her matesprites actions before dragging him away from the computer. "Don't mew worry! I'm pawsitively certain you would have gotten Leo anyway. Now come on, I brought home some rom-coms for mew. We can watch it together and cuddle, it'll be pawsitively purrfect!"
Karkat smiled as he willingly followed Nepeta, her smiling face cheering him up. Human romance was boring, anyways.
