It's Choice

It's choice - not chance - that determines your destiny.
Lily saw the crowd near the beech, too. Peering closely, it was Greta Catchlove who recognised James Potter's unruly mop. Potter, attention-seeking? Big surprise.
"I'm getting a Professor." Lily announced, putting on her shoes.
"Why bother? It'll only be a bit of fun. The marauders'll have your head."
"It's never just a bit of fun with them lot, Greta." Lily answered sourly. "Have my head - Hardly, Potter fancies himself in love."
When Lily returned with Professor McGonagall - who's mouth was a hard line; punishments harder - a filthy look replaced Potter's loved-up words, while Sirius muttered, "Tattletale."
Ha. Lily's heart bled.
