Coming out of the school, all Draco could ask himself was where Luna was. He ran back into the school, risking his life, to find her. He ran in the ring of fire that was the quittich felid, to find Luna screaming in the middle of it, dementors towering over her. Before he knew what he was doing, he ran towards her with a Patronus coming out of his wand. When the last Dementor was drifting off, he ran up to the now crying Luna, and picked her up off of the ground, running through the smoke and fire to get her out. Dodging a falling wall, Draco jumped back in the middle of the feild, which was rapidly getting smaller. He sent out blue sparks from his wand, and started to yell, hoping that someone would hear him. Harry, which was nearby saving Hermione, heard him yelling, and ran to him.
"Draco!Where are you?" He yelled towards the feild.
"In Here!" He yelled, setting off more sparks, and using his robes to cover Lunas mouth from the smoke. He was still questioning why he was so worried about Luna, when Harry and George came running in, using their wands to try to put out some of the fire. When they came in, Draco was crawling to the cleared spot, still clutching onto Luna, who was barely breathing. Draco was also barely breathing, but refused to let go of Luna untill she got out. When he eventually got out of the feild and onto a safe spot with Harry, Hermione, and George, he put down Luna on the ground. Madame Pomfrey came to get her, but Draco said he woulnt leave her side. He followed her to a cave where most of the students were either hiding out or getting healed, and layed her down on a bed brought from inside the castle.
"Draco?"She whimpered, before falling asleep from too fell asleep on a nearby bed but made sure that he would be there when she woke up.
4 HOURS LATER
"Draco Malfoy, wake up. The war is over, and miss Lovegood is awake as well." Madam Pomfrey spoke quietly, trying not to wake up more patients. Draco got up and ran to Luna's bedside, where she was sitting up reading a book.
"Well hullo Draco" she said to him with a sweet innocent smile. Draco remembered why he loved her so much when her face lit up like nothing had happened.
"H..Hi Luna" he stuttered "are you feeling better?"
"Yes very much. Thank you for saving my life last night. You couldve died though!" she spoke quietly.
"Well as long as you made it out, it wouldve been worth the risk." He said to her. He leaned in to kiss her on the forehead, but Luna looked up at the right time, and kissed him on the lips, pulling back quickly.
"Oh, im sorry Draco" she said, a tear forming in her eye.
"Why would you cry about that love?" he asked, kissing her on the cheek with a smile. Not a smirk or a grimace, but a true smile. "see you at breakfast" he called out, before strutting out of the cave, leaving Luna awestruck.
