Percy POV

I'm laying in my bed thinking when and how I'm going to propose to Annabeth. She has been my girlfriend of 4 years. It's Fourth of July and I think I have the perfect way to propose to Annabeth. After the firework show tonight I will ask her. I just need to prepare for tonight. I went into the bathrooms and took a shower. When I got back to my room I dressed in a nice white t-shirt and black skinny jeans and Nike sneakers. I combed my hair and grabbed the black velvet box that held Annabeth's ring and walked out of my cabin. My phone started blasting the song "welcome to the club" by Mania. I pulled out my phone and saw that Annabeth had texted me. The gods had made a cell phone that wouldn't attract monsters.

Her message said "Hey Perce, just texting to say meet me at the firework beach at 7:30, Lots of love, Annabeth"

I looked to see what time it was, 7:10. 20 minutes until I have to meet Annabeth. "Might as well be early for once" I thought. I started walking to the beach. I got there 5 minutes before Annabeth and I were going to meet. I noticed a blonde girl with long curly hair and I instantly knew it was Annabeth. I walked over and covered her eyes while I asked "Guess who."

"Uhm, Nico?" Annabeth said laughing.

"Wrong!" I said as I turned around giving her a long kiss. "Shall we go find a spot M'lady?" , offering her my arm.

She took my arm and said "We shall." We walked to our normal spot and sat down on the blanket Annabeth had brought.

A little while later the firework show began. Even though Annabeth and I have seen it many times it still amazed me how beautiful the fireworks were. We sat there "oohing" and "awing."

When the firework show finally ended people started to leave. I brought Annabeth to the first place we kissed, the pavilion.

"Where are we going" she kept asking me. I always replied with "It's a surprise."

We finally got to the pavilion and I brought Annabeth to the Poseidon table. I looked in her eyes as I bent down on one knee and pulled out the black velvet box, She looked really surprised and was wondering what I was doing.

Before I could chicken out I asked "Annabeth, I promise to love you forever and never leave your side, Will you marry me?" I looked into her eyes and it looked like she was going to cry. I hoped she wouldn't reject me.

"Oh Percy," She began. Please don't say no, Please don't say no. I thought to myself. She brought my attention back to her when she started talking again.

"Yes, I will marry you Percy." I got up and kissed her and then put the ring on her left ring finger. "I thought you would never ask. I love you so much." We had kissed once again.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" I turned around to see Clarisse with most of the camp. They had aimed their flashlights at Annabeth and I.

We can't get any privacy at this camp. It's just like the night Annabeth and I had started dating. Just like that night Clarisse and everyone else put us on their shoulders but had us close enough so Annabeth and I could hold hands as they carried us to the canoe lake and threw us in. I quickly made an air bubble so Annabeth could breathe.

Let's just say that night was night was the best I have ever had.
