I love Skoochy, so here's a super short drabbled about him. I own nothing.

If it was up to Skoochy, there'd be a lot more nice people in Republic City, people who would just hand out money to the street kids instead of being stingy and turning said street kids into thieves and liars. These people would give the kids food and money and clothes that fit and beds to sleep in at night, and they would take care of them.

Also, if it was up to Skoochy, Republic city would be a lot cleaner. Sure, as an earthbender he appreciated dirt in various forms, but this was just too much a good thing. Black filth coated the streets and walls and ceilings and alleyways where he slept at night. If someone would just come through every so often and clean up after the hordes of people in the city, it would make life a lot more pleasant. Especially because when the dirt and rotting garbage was gone, the bugs would leave, too. No more flea-lice scratching and biting and making his life miserable.

And, as long as he was thinking up ways to improve the city, they should have more festivals with free food and games for all the kids, festivals every week or so. And it wouldn't just be ice cream and cotton candy - though those were very nice - it would be real food, the kind that stuck to your ribs and kept you from being hungry for more than a few minutes. Good, solid, heavenly food, in such large quantities that there was always enough to go around and still have some left over to send home with people - if those people had a home to go to.

And as Skoochy crouched behind a dumpster in a dirty alley, nursing a bruise on his cheek where an unkind person had slapped him when he tried to pick their pockets, he sucked on his fingers in an attempt to stave off the pains of hunger, and reflected that he had quite a few ideas on how to improve life in Republic City.

But of course he was just a street rat, and no one asked him.
