(I left off my story with Shelby in the hospital and peter telling her that he has to tell her mom about the baby.)
Shelby: what, you cannot tell my mother, she would go absolutely ballistic!
Peter: well we have to if---(they were cut off by the nurse stepping inside the hospital room and tapping peter on the shoulder.)
Nurse: excuse me sir, when you were filling out this paperwork-(pointing to the clipboard)did you say that miss. Merrick is pregnant?
Peter: yes, she is now currently pregnant why?
Nurse: because when we did the blood test after the accident there was no sign of her being pregnant.
Peter: I beg your pardon?
Nurse: this young lady is not pregnant.
Peter: but the test said-
Nurse: sir do you know how precise those home pregnancy tests are, if you let them sit for longer than a minute after the test says it is time to check them you can get a false plus sign.
Peter: oh (by this time Shelby was jumping for joy and she was thinking about how to approach Scott and tell him that she wasn't pregnant.
Nurse: Shelby once I take your I.V. out you are free to leave.(she exits)
Shelby: thank-you lord.
Peter: wow, um Shelby, how would you like to go back to horizon UN-pregnant?
Shelby: it would be an honor! (They leave the hospital and are on the way home and are chatting. meanwhile back at horizon there is tension in the air, Scott has cooled down and is thinking of way to apologize to Shelby.)
Scott:(at the docks alone talking to himself) how could I have been so stupid to let her go! I should have known that she wouldn't marry me, and how could I put all this pressure on her shoulders while she is in this fragile state. How could I be so stupid! I love her and all I did was hurt her.(just then Shelby came walking down to the docks)
Shelby: hey Scott
Scott: oh Shelby before you say anything I have to tell you something it is really import-(he was cut off by Shelby)
Shelby: I have to tell you something very important
Scott: Shelby will you listen to me
Shelby: Scott (she started to cry) listen
Scott: listen I'm so sorry I don't know what happened but I hope we can have this baby together
Shelby: not if I'm not gonna have a baby .
