Have you ever wondered just exactly where that Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity came from? What must have happened to him to make him the way he is? What is the real cost of the so-called 'free' avatar he bestows on his choice vic-I mean, visitors? Many have chosen not to believe what I have to say, and so I do not feel guilt for them. But you...believe me or not, that is your own choice to make, but hear my story and make your own educated decision. Please, I beg you, please do not let others influence you in this.
I was there. Many years ago, during the war. Yes, there was a war, but it is not spoken of. It is not taught in history classes, it is not in any book except for one. The War of the Beginning. Look it up, I guarantee you will find it nowhere. Only one copy was written, and nobody knows what ever happened to it. It's believed that Donna smuggled it out of Neopia when she escaped with Adam. Oh? You don't know? Of course you don't. Neopians are taught that Adam and Donna willingly left Neopia when Viacom came. Think about that. Can you really imagine Adam handing over the world to those people?
Viacom came quietly, setting up their traps and snares before announcing their arrival. Adam and Donna tried to welcome them peacefully, but at the same time they hinted around at the strangers making an early departure. See, everyone thought that Viacom was just visiting... Weeks went by and as word of the strange visitors spread, so did their camp. Most Neopets stayed away. Human visitors were not a regular occurance in Neopia. Sure, some Neopets had human owners, but those humans went through a sign-up process and a background check before being allowed temporary access to the world. These humans...well, their presence was...weird.
At first nobody noticed the disappearances. Most of the ones who disappeared were antisocial, shunned by society. Vira, Eliv, Sophie...they were the first to go. It was Donna who noticed first. Adam approached a Viacom woman about the missing Neopets. She denied any knowledge of what a Neopet even was but Donna, standing beside Adam as always, spied poor Sophie locked in a cage behind some crates. Her eyes went wide with horror, and suddenly all of Viacom surrounded them.
