What's this life for
Hurray for a child That makes it through
Harry Potter laid down on his bed one cold late August night. He couldn't fall asleep. He couldn't stop thinking about his parents. It was pure torture.
If there's any way Because the answer lies in you
Why did he have to live this life? Why must he be so totured by memories- only memories. They're laid to rest Before they know just what to do
Why did they have to die? Why? He had hardly knew them... Why couldn't he get a chance to know them better? Why couldn't he know them though life rather than stories? Life was so unfair to him.
Their souls are lost Because they could never find
Their souls were gone. He couldn't find them, no matter how are he looked. If the aurors had only found Voldemort before he killed them... They may be living now.
What's this life for
What was he living for? He had no parents. He lived to kill Voldemort. That was his answer. But it is it right to live to kill?
I see your soul, it's kind of gray I see your heart, you look away You see my wrist, I know your pain I know your purpose on your plane
His soul was gray and damp. Damp from tears. Gray from loneliness. His heart was full of tears... So many of them. No one knew his pain. No one.
Don't say a last prayer Because you could never find
He should just say a last prayer and get it over with. Never live again. But, should he die because he could not find his purpose? It made not sense.
What's this life for
What was this life for? What was the point of life? What was his purpose? He had so many questions and no one to answer them for him.
But they ain't here anymore Don't have to settle the score
But his parents were gone. They didn't have to settle anything. Nothing at all.
Cause we all live Under the reign of one king
They all lived under God. And, soon enough, Harry figured, he'd die. He could wait till then.
