"Sit." Queen Flower motioned to the floor. Akwardly I sat infront of her, and she infront of me. "So, you are a Boggan?"

I nodded slowly, aware of all the leafmen surrounding us.

"Tell me. How are you related to Mandrake? It's been about seventy years."

"Well, after Mandrake was born, my grandfather waited twenty ears before giving the throan to him. That made my grandfather fourty at the time. Then Mandrake had his son and that took about sixteen years till the attack on the pod and Queen Tara passed. That made my grandfather fifty-six. When Mandrake died my grandfather took over the throan for twenty years till he had my father. When my father took over, my grandfather was seventy; my father took over when he was fourteen. Then when he was thirty-three I was born. And it's been nineteen years since."

She nodded. "That is some confusing paused. "But I don't understand, Miss Clover, why should I trust you? I almost died by the hands of a Boggan when I was young."

"I apologize for that Your Highness." I nodded my head at her, "and I will be honost, you shouldn't have a reason to trust me. I know how this looks; the enemy, young and helpless, crossing into your borders. For all you know this could all be some kind of deceit. I could be out to gather Jinn knowledge." I frowned, "and I know I could refute that with all my might, but we both know it would do nothing. But I do ask for your trust Queen Flower." I bowed before her to show my respect.

There was silence in the room.

Queen Flower put her hand upon my shoulder. "I will trust you."

"Queen Flower!" the General's voice cut through the silence. I stood and looked at him.

"Do not 'Queen Flower' me." She sighed and shook her head, a few red petals falling. "Ronin, I understand that you are weary, but you know if we reject someone in need, even a Boggan in need, we are no better than the mold."

Ronin looked from the Queen to me. "Yes, m'lady."

I held out my hand. Ronin, smacking it away, stormed off.
