The Madness in Me

this was inspired by WCMI. but you don't have to read it with a WCMI piont of view if you don't want to...uhgg...ummm...better explanation inside, trust me.

i do not own the inspirations for this poem, Alice in Wonderland or WCMI, i do however own the poem.

You stay by my side day after day,

Each night your the last thing I se.,

Your touch is the one that heals the pain

and reigns the madness in me.

Yet I fear my happiness short lived,

I fear we cannot be.

I fear the damage to your mind

wrought by the madness in me.

I tell you to run from this our nightmare,

I long to set you free,

but you stay right here, my light forever

despite the madness in me.

I will not live to see you hurt

why is it you do not flee?

Is it, perhaps, you've come to love

the madness that is me?

ok, if you read it from the WCMI point of view, then here's the explanation. i see Alice and Reggie's relationship as one where Reggie wants to be with Alice with all of his heart, mind and body. But there is always a danger to her that they both are aware of. if you need more info check the writer of WCMI's ,Rain, live journal. she explains it better. this was kinda a combination of her thoughts and my own.
