Prologue:
"Sasuke!..." Naruto shouted waking up next to his lover. Bleeding. Then he remembered that they've been on a party then Sasuke let him drive them home then next thing Naruto knew they got hit by a truck.
Hospital...
"How are you feeling?" Itachi asked Naruto, they're both seated outside the emergency room
Naruto got bruises and scratches on his arm and face but—
"Sasuke…he-he's-" Naruto said with his voice trembling
Itachi sat properly
"He'll live. Sasuke's strong, believe in him." A pause, "He sure got some bruises and scratches too, let's just hope that it'd not that serious and the doctors are still having some test with him just to be sure... you should rest too that boy doesn't want you to see like this I'm sure of that" Itachi said with a low but clear voice.
"I want to see him," Naruto said still trembling... and look at Itachi "..please"
Itachi was about to open his mouth to speak but Sasuke and Itachi's parents arrived. The two of them stood up.
"What happened?" Fugaku said with worried voice.
"Dad, they been in a car accident" Itcahi answered
Before Fugaku could talk back the doctors came out...
"Doc, how's my son?" Fugaku asked
"Come on to his room I'll let you see him then I'll explain" The Doctor said
They entered the room where Sasuke were ... Naruto can't stop his tears from falling down.
"He got some bruises and some deep scrathes but no serious broken bone. I'd say from the said impact and time he was arrived here by the ambulance," they heard the doctor sighed "he is lucky, it could've been worst, we will keep him here for the next two days just to be sure that he is completely out of danger but don't worry he'll be fine and will wake up soon, Excuse me" The doctor bowed then he got out the room to give the family some privacy
They all waited for Sasuke to wake up...
Mikoto saw Naruto seating near the bed holding the other boy's hand
"Naruto…" She said wanting the boy to notice her existence and the blonde look at her helplessly...
"Don't worry Naruto he'll wake up soon"
"Yeah, I hope so…" Naruto tears fall down again
The two of them are not talking, they just keep on watching Sasuke, silently praying that he'll wake up soon, then Naruto felt Sasuke's finger, slowy moving and opening his eyes. Naruto looked at Mikoto she smiled then she called Fugaku, Itachi and the Doctor.
"He's awake." She told them
Happily they all got inside the room...
Sasuke slowly voice out a question…"Where am I?"… "What happened?"
"What's happening Doctor?" Itachi asked
"Hmm, he seems to show sign of amnesia...We'll have to wait for a while to know what kind of amnesia is this, I believe that this may have to do with the impact he may recover his memories sooner or later " the doctor answered
"Amnesia?" Naruto asked himself
"Who are you...you're holding my hands" Sasuke slowly asked Naruto, the question bring Naruto back to reality...he slowly pulled his hand from Sasuke's.
Don't know who to react, he was terribly hurt his lover barely don't know who he is.
"Uhmm" But seems like he can't find the right answer to the question
'How can I answer sush a question...' Naruto asked himself
"Sasuke, I'm Itachi your brother...and he's –"
"He's Naruto one of your friends" Fugaku said, cutting off Itachi and looking at Naruto
"Darling, I'm Mikoto your mother, this is Fugaku your father" Mikoto introduce
Naruto look at Fugaku...helplessly
'why did he said that?, what is happening, why aren't they saying something,'
The Doctor seems to feel the tention and said "Let's let him rest for a while"
Before Naruto could step back he look at Sasuke again, wherein Sasuke is looking right back at him. He quickly averted this eyes from the boy his tears can't help but to just fall down he covered his mouth minimizing this agonizing sob. He ran out of the room leaving Sasuke with the question look on his face.
On the other side Sasuke look at Naruto completely not remembering anything. He's worried about the other boy, he can sense it that there's something about the blonde and he also felt the loneliness, sadness and the afraid feelings behind those big blue eyes...Why can't he remember...
'Just what the hell did happen?' he questioned himself
Naruto sat outside the room, Fugaku sat beside him...
"I'm sorry about the scene a while ago. I didn't mean to hurt your feeling Naruto but—" Fugaku stoped, Naruto look at him.
"Naruto I know you love my son...He loves you too, we all see that but things are different now...he has amnesia and we don't know when will his memories come back when he get out of here I want him to start a new life again maybe this time he'll found his way to what he really should be into this world, for his own good...And I can't just tell him he got into a relationship with a guy..." Fugaku paused for a minute
'what is he talking about' Naruto thought
"Naruto please understand maybe the two of you is not really for each other." Fugaku said looking at Naruto even though he can sense the confusion in the blonde's eye he have to do this, for the better.
He doesn't know what to do, Sasuke can't remember him, now the boy's father wants him gone in Sasuke's side … For good? Even though he don't understand it but if it's for Sasuke's sake, should he really let go? Can he let go? Can he let go of his love for Sasuke?
Even before his mind can come up with a decision, even before his heart settle down from racing, his mouth seems to know to do and voice out a question he know he will regret for the rest of his life.
"Can I see him...one last time?" Naruto ask him
The old man smiled sadly, seems to be glad about Naruto's decision
"Alright, he's sleep though" Naruto stood up not giving a glance to the old man, he lifelessly walk into Sasuke's room. When he got inside he tried, really tried not to cry he walked near the bed and leaned closer to the older boy he gave the other guy one last kiss and whispered
"Sasuke, I love you..." tears escaped his eyes while he closed them the he carefully connect their forehead together
